In any case, everything you do nowadays can offend someone (this thread itself is proof).

I agree with the creative part, the insane... Meh (that's just a matter of opinion really). If one of the examples you provided was 'insane' (They have been in my YT fav list for ages), then I guess that is also a word I'd use in completely different situations, not unlike profanity...
