I come back to the iRO forums after 5 days and a few things happened.

1. Hexing/GRF Modding seems to be OFFICIALLY semi-allowed, which means it's fully allowed undercover, and that people will continuously get away with spamming skills potions/ales faster than the average player

2. Certain guilds who cheat, by using Real Money Trading, or the above programs which mess with packets or in-RAM data, will continue to get stronger while passing these cheats to their guildmates

3. Royal Guards, like a MASTERSMITH type class, still break 3 types of armor at around a 50% change per attack which can be used 3 times per second while teleporting to your character like a snapping sura with 30% reflect and 80% long range reduction. Makes alot of sense.

4. Trolls are around 2.5x worse and need more food since their hunger hasnt been satiated by people with real suggestions to balance and moderation of forums have not been here for the past month.

5. Heimdallr's live chat was good in theory, but it's unknown whether him and the rest of the team are going to put these suggestions into the game to make it better for each and every person, and there has been silence on this subject, causing people who were not trolls, to become angry and turn into trolls.

If you're a non-cheating normal player, hurry up and make your reports of the known cheaters who abuse GRF modding, hexing parts or all of the client itself, and stomp them out. In my opinion there needs to be a Game Master spy on these reported players, during woe times, so that their character can be seeen BLATANTLY bypassing what their characters stats can achieve, such as pre-renewal grimtoothing at 190 aspd when they have 1 agi on their character build. Investigate with common sense and achieve balance, weed out the numbskulls. Fix the game too, and its broken mechanics it's not that hard. I would fix all the program abuse, and classes brokenality right now within the span of a 12 hour work shift if I worked there. A challenge? No. It is a hobby, and I like to make things right for all the people who play this game.

Isn't the GM team and development team supposed to be onto this already?

Something is just out of their hand. They need to submit a request to kRO to fix certain things and that usually take forever.

I don't know. I haven't had any bad talks with lazarus so far, we haven't met much though.

But it seems you're pretty vigilant on some things and more laid back on others, and you do joke around a lot so yeah. People don't take you as seriously as you would want.

One of the main points I see from your posts is that they gain attention. Raising attention to a subject is huge when it comes to making stuff happen.

No idea why my post got deleted, but whatever.

1. Agree. No modification should be allowed.

2. Agree. There needs to be more cracking down on these types of things.

3. Disagree. Once again, you have your facts wrong. PPA has a cooldown of about five seconds, nor does it have the Snap effect in WoE. The chance to break equipment needs to be lowered, yes. It's 40% reflect, BTW.

4. No comment.

5. Disagree. There has been progress. I don't expect them to do everything right away, but I liked what I heard for the most part.

I removed it to try and salvage the thread, which looked like it was going to turn into a personal argument with you and laz. If someone's harassing you on the forums through PM's, please report them.

Players in game are defiantly getting incredibly relaxed with talking about how they cheat/bot/anything not allowed.

1. No modification are allowed. right! thats easy to say. but how are you gonna implement that? are they even doing anything if they caught you editing it? no! you can just happily get away with it. wait what? oh its already on the forums. people dont get banned from editing the client. period.

The exploits right now that exist mostly stem from the poor packet work that's done on the backend, but that probably won't be fixed any time soon since all changed must go through kRO. We can pretty much count that off as...won't be fixed.

There are ways to work around it though. By doing what the GMs are planning to do with the WoE 1.0 god item creation npc. By adding in a bit of randomness and changing things around a little bit, the game isn't as vulnerable to replay attacks and flooding. =)

From the feeling I keep getting, iRO is probably a very small company that has a lot on their plate. It might be a better idea, from RO's perspective, to open up the GRF and let players make the changes that they want. I think that, worst case scenario, we're facing nodelay sprites. That seems to have been fixed with renewal. Aside from that, I can see situations where players edit textures and all, but in my opinion, I think that ability should be there anyways. You'd edit at your own risk, but graying out textures and removing details, etc would probably make the less fortunate, computer wise, benefit greatly.

Have some moderators for a new area on the forums. Allow users to post up their customizations. I don't see the problem really.

Maybe there's a licensing issue though with kRO.

^ This. The more KP they spend, the more they get away with. Too many RMT'ers allowed to get away with it because they spend just as much on the kafra shop. Nothing will change. No one will be banned from these cheats. Perma bans are a thing of the past. Even if GM's were to react now and ban people, they will just become unban within a small time frame anyway. Why bother trying.

I know for a fact that we're pretty cheap when it comes to KP spending. I still have to warp people to whatever castles we're attacking just because they aren't VIP.

I used to claim Insurr was getting by with stuff because of their connections with the GMs, their kafra shop purchases, etc. We've somehow managed to pick up the new image of Insurr and if I'm experiencing the same things they did, what I used to think about them is far from accurate.

They had their illegitimacies, but I'm tired of constantly being under the microscope, being accused of GM connections, extreme Kafra Point spending to keep me unbanned, etc. We worked to get to where we are and I certainly don't have any GM connections. I have to make a rukus just to get a response out of them (I don't think I'm on their friend's list =\).

If you know something that's illegit, report it. My ticket on warp portal regarding the god item exploiting was reviewed. With the seals rolling so frequently though, I wanted a faster response before more items made it onto the market.

I'd rather not in that the previous post implied that it might be cheating. I'll release it depending on what the GMs say about the topic. For now, I've stopped using it.

If you'd like to have a minimap added to the game, check out MY POST!
