On top of Lamb's minimap idea (which would be easy to do) and Lilp's special /effect idea (which might be a bit harder, but maybe one of those .lua config file like the ChatWndInfo_U.lua could be used to determine which skills are displayed), how about something that fixes position lag? Maybe an in-game command that resets everyone's sprite location (including yours), so that you know exactly what cell someone is standing on.

Also, during WoE, make sprites stay dead on the ground for longer than 2 frames, or however short it is. If you blink when someone "dies", you don't know if they actually died or just snapped away. Having them lay there for a few more frames at least gives that confirmation that they actually died, which can be important when chasing recallers around a crowded castle. (the sprite refresh ties in here too, as when you see a sura sprite standing there, you can see if that's actually the sura, or a ghost sprite left from snapping off screen).

The intention of this was to get suggestions for client modification that should be simple enough for them to patch in without needing to edit the stuff, server side. Mostly...things that you guys might see missing.

Some minimaps are missing and they should be fairly easy to add in. As far as status icons, are there any status icons on the right side that you guys have noticed show up as blank? Those could be easily fixed as well.

These are the kinds of things I was looking for. Not really...I want a new skill that summons Bahamut from FF. Or...I want a Kafra Shop item that makes sprinkles fall out of my cart while I'm running through town.

Things like a customizable /effect would be AWESOME!! But it'll require a little more work and it'll probably end up heading its way back to kRO for implementation. A command to simuilate a private server's @refresh, like what Pred was talking about, would be awesome too. I get tired of seeing people bugged on my screen or having no idea where I'm standing. lol.

Those things require source code changes.

I should have made the title of my OP "What are some things that you see missing?"

if they can have simplified aura, can we have a simplified effect? i would like to see a simple effect for skills like magic strings/riff/apple/hells plant/thorn wall/ anything that laggs your computer during woe =(, that way you can go woeing with a simplified effect, rather then turning everything of without knowing, what are you stepping on.


/mineffect. It's bundled in WOE though.

Most of Thanatos Tower minimaps are gone. After floor 6, it was hard to find myself and my friends there.

i would like to be able to zoom OUT in nameless. also, give us at least three different cast circles. it gets old after 2 years using the same one.

We, playing Thanatos 7th and 8th floors, in a party of 5 people. And the naughty guys used snatch in our party.

Without minimap, this is totally dangerous to happen. Think about Morroc Pyramid without a minimap and monsters with snatch. And of course, you are forbidden to flywing~

Oh I want a minimap on thanatos tower ^_^

No kill stealing ^^.

If you tap a monster no one else can attack it for a minute, so as long as you keep attacking no one else can until its dead.

There could be a party mode, which only allows party members to join the whack fest. :ani_meow:
Others can just stay on solo mode.

It goes the same for magic attacks, so basically a "no ks system" ^^.

MVPs are excluded because they are Free For All.

Its nice not having someone KS the Ghostring you're killing :ani_bo:

Just so you guys know Mini bosses are not FFA! -_-

hp -= damage
else
hp -= 0


Looks pretty easy to me =)

That's a source code change and not a client data modification. iRO can't do stuff like that, I believe.

I know they cant, but, just pointing out how easily it would be for kRO to do it and pass it back to us. Shouldn't take months of planning/checking/testing etc etc for 5 lines of code.

Would be nice if Mental Strength (Monk) and Mystical Amplification (High Wiz) got icons on the side.
Amatsu Dungeon level 1 does not have a minimap, but that might have been intentional.

Thanks to GMs for the Reflect Damage icon update. I had to use Shrink for RD timing before update.
