get ~4 done thats quite a bit of exp

Assuming you only get to abuse the seal once a day, and that others are doing it.

If you get 16,200,00 exp that's the same as about an hours levelling with a 3x BM anyway provided you have the gear to do so.

30mins vs 1 hour.... but available to everyone instead of god item toting elitists.

Just add a cooldown on how frequently you can do Seal 2. Easiest fix.

It doesnt need to be long at all (for the ppl who would reset for other seals too). Giving reset stones a delay of an hour or so would be fine.

Keep in mind seal 4 used to close FASTER than this back in the day

This. People would run a particular seal and not the others, then forget about it. Its not time efficient to do all 4 seals to get 5.4m exp. Doesnt matter what way you spin it, putting a requirement to do all 4 seals (or even in order god forbid) cannot work.

It simply results in people getting locked out of the seals and unable to reset. If they're not on at the time a guild rolls the seals (after having to make new chars since they can't reset their rollers) you miss out on resetting.

Been like 16-18 hours on Seal 2. Been here all day. >.> If people had god items they wanted the seal's woulda broke by now. <.< This is the first time Ive ever seen seal 2 not open/broken by midday. And its night now.

You have to get to Niff 3 times.. I can BARELY make 3 rolls/BM if I get lucky on bungee jumping. Are there any steps you can skip? (like talking to Donon's sister or something)

If you reset your status before getting the EXP, you can't get the EXP later, right? Would save a trip to Niff...

PS one way to nerf seal 2 is to allow only to reset if you did seal 3 and 4.

Just require 2 of the 4 seals to be done. That way at most you can get 2 run throughs on one seal roll. No one person doing 4 of em/etc

To Viri require 3 of the of the 4 seals to be done cuz you can do seal 1 and 2 then reset if it requires only 2 seals.
To everyone else
and for the record its possible to do seal 2 2 times in a row without wasting stone. Do 3 then 4 (new item made starts over) then (all of these can be done during the next god item) 1 then 2 reset then 2 3 4 1 reset 3 4 rinse and repeat.

My first Seal 2 I took my time reading the NPC dialogues and it closed on me

I just waited for the next one and continue where I stopped.

I learned my lesson and spammed enter the rest other than a few NPCs.

Really traffic on the bungee.

yup, make some more money, put in niff scrolls in like the june box to like middle of niff town and you will get people wanting the box

I think the minute they get into niff they should remove their priest til they have to get to niff next time.

Yeah, but people don't usually think "Oh I just got to Niff, I should remove my priest so everyone else can get in like me!"
And as I see, some are even on a second run on the same BM, so they want to get through it as quickly as they can...

right lets implement that, so eventually we get stuck on seal 2 because nobody can do it, since 3+4 arent available. You do realise if its possible to deadlock the seals people will INTENTIONALLY do that. This is the iRO community we're talking about remember.

As for me, I ran thru it on my soul linkers recently, self res ftw. If i had to do it on another char i'd probably use some sigfrieds if i was trying to rush on a 3x manual, but i cba doing the multiple reset thing. I'm not paying $10/hour to level lol.

If everyone that wants seal 2 to open also did seal 1, then they would not be waiting xx hours for it to open - at least on ymir.

If i was a gm, having seen the demand for such quests i would make it priority to create more quests like this.

ok after opening this topic and reading through all the replies,i realised 2 things:
1)i wasn't crazy to have a problem with how the seals rolled,it's obvious that many ppl feel the same from the replies i got
2)the whole seal roll thing has become another never-to-be-solved issue,since there r so many different opinions about it,
and they r all logical even if they r exactly the opposite...i guess we'll all have to learn to do the quest in like 1 minute XD

Well, yes. It would be pretty nice if we had [an higher amount of] quests giving more EXP than they are giving now.

[They should make that Laphine quest give again 700k exp instead of 70k daily]

Very long quests [The Sign] are not giving a decent experience income, so it won't bother doing it. Okay, this one gives 5m exp [very split though, it's technically impossible to use a manual] and access to Geffenia, a pretty decent 10x~11x leveling spot. I mean. Low experience income, the quest lasts something like 3 days to do... In 3 days, I could make... 100+ medusa/harpy VIP turnins, which would give 50 million exp, 10 times this quest gives.

Okay, killing monsters is nice, but there is a lot of another stuff to do in the game, that we could totally do instead of just killing monsters in one forced and specific place, being forced to bot or "buy" EXP [Yes, that stuff which happens in the second seal].

/omg my idea of CP in the bungee jump is still up *gets killed by the random people* [At least I play Valkyrie, not Ymir~]

Anyways, you people could always put a cooldown of like, 2~4 days per use of reset stone to reset the seals, regardless of how many seals had been made by the person. Anyways, it does not matter. Or is that, or is grinding on the forced places [Competing with bots, sometime] to get the exp.

Talking about bots... How good the bots seems to be unable to hunt in the best place to hunt for elder branches, they are 20~30k in the valk though ):
