Parties?
Community?

I would also appreciate your opinion as well. Thanks.

Coming back to iRO, quit before renewal came out.

The server population is getting up there, lately it's been averaging about 700 people vs 900 on Ymir, at least when I've logged in.
There are some bots, but most seem to be level bots. If supplies are being botted, then they are private bots as bomb materials and such haven't been showing up on the market in large quantities. There are three persistent zeny seller bots that have begun spamming Prontera in the last week.
The marketplace consists mostly of quest items, mid-level drops and gear that people have transferred over from other servers. New players complain about being poor, but with a little effort you can easily get enough zeny to purchase the cards and equipment that you need. Prices are much lower compared to other servers, for example Marc card vends less than 1m, as does Evil Druid. You can get a better idea by browsing the recent vends via Ragial, http://ragial.com/iRO-Yggdrasil
There are guilds, but really only maybe 3-4 well-established ones. Because the server does not have the payment wall that Ymir does (meaning character creation is free here, up to 3 chars) there is a stream of new players. Many are older returning players who tend to stay around, but there are also players who come from private servers and don't usually last more than a couple weeks. Because of this turnover, the "community" is mostly made up of the people from the more established guilds.
Don't really know much about parties since I tend to solo or party with guildmates. There is the occasional party advertisement, but not as frequently as on Ymir. (yes, I play on Ymir from time to time.)
There are people who PVP but I don't know how many or how often since it's not my thing.
Right now WoE consists of two castles, each in a separate realm. My schedule doesn't really allow me to participate, so I can't really comment on that either.
It really all comes down to what you're looking for. If you're looking for full-on massive WoE battles and constant PVP, you would probably do better on one of the other servers. For guilds and partying, it would pretty much come down to the people you fall in with and how much energy you put towards it. In our guild, it is sometimes problematic trying to do things together because of the wide range of levels. Sometimes people don't care and just come along for the fun. Community might be a little better here, and I mean in the sense that if you ask a question in public chat, most people will try to be helpful and answer without getting snarky. Most people hang out in Prontera or in the Eden HQ, although there are some small groups that have started hanging out in Payon.
Hopefully that helps a little bit. ^^
edit: Players from the other servers like to hate on Ygg, as you can see by the previous posters in this thread.

Not really.Is the server active?
There are more bots than actual players on all the level 50-110 maps.Bots?
Most of the vendors are still trying to get by selling discounted potions, and the rest are trying to vend rarer items that almost nobody can afford despite lower prices than other servers. The ones who can afford said endgame items are the ones who transfered over with all their +12 gear for easymode MVP/WOE and have no need for it.Active marketplace?
More pop up every day, and it's not terribly hard to find one. Just don't expect much from it.Guilds?
Nonexistent.Parties?
Lackluster. Because of the lack of paywall, most of the playerbase consists of newcomers to official servers who get bored quick and either start botting or run back to their high-rate over-the-top pirate servers.Community?
Nonexistent.PvP?
Two guilds run the show, one full of botters, one full of transfers from Ymir/Valkyrie, and they have such a level advantage over everyone else that it's an exercise in futility for any other guild on the server to try to compete.WoE?

It's still a bit new. Just give it time and it will blossom. I personally like the server, and have noticed that most the players on it tend to be very polite and helpful.

No, he's actually telling the truth.

No, he's actually telling the truth.
It's still new, what do you expect? You expect it to be like the old servers all of a sudden? I've had no problems with the leveling, getting help, finding parties, finding items I needed, etc. Whether he is telling the truth or not, it's easy to tell when somebody has a negative approach to a topic from the start.

Yggdrasil is active always there has been more and more bots lately but it's just average players botting not the chinese website botters like on valk with 30 rogues in partys.
there is parties I easily made friends and party's on there quite quickly just play the game and train and you'll find people to talk with.
There is plenty of guilds just go to prontera and open a chat asking to join a guild and define what you want in the guild like woe or chat, party and have fun.
the community is growing it is out there.
I don't PVP so I don't know anything about that, but there is a good 3 guilds I think that do WoE but it's not very big yet, and yeah Valk Guild does pretty much have everything.
But so what if one guild is dominating most? TRAIN get really high lvl and make your way up to them don't complain and be jealous because they did work and or transferred char's over, they still did the work.
Yggdrasil is nice because of the less botters less inflated economy and things are cheaper which allows newer players to have a chance to get things and is free.

From what I've been observing so far after playing there for 2 weeks, it's heading towards the direction of being a 2nd Valkyrie server unless the GMs regulate the server more.

The server started off as a test server for Renewal back in September I think. They surprised everyone by turning it into a real server once Renewal was implemented in October. So, yes it's about 9 months old or so.I'm gonna give Ygg a try. But isn't the server almost a year old already? And they already allowed transfers? Whats the point then if that one guild with all the transfers is going to dominate everything, lol. Ugh.
Server transfers to or from Ygg were not allowed until April, when the game switched over to the F2P model. Personally I think it would have been fine to allow people to transfer out of Ygg, but they really screwed things up by allowing people to transfer to Ygg.
The more well-established guilds have been around for nearly the entire time, so to be fair, you cannot say that everything they have was obtained by simply transferring over. Until April, they were in the same boat as everyone else having started off from zero.
