Requiring you to input the email that you registered your account with in order to pay your subscript/kafrapoints.

Honestly? Who's idea was this, how am I going to remember an email I used to an account I registered 2/3 years ago, let alone guess the right one within 5 tries.

Gravity is definitely losing plenty of customers.

While I understand your frustration with your apparent memory issues, They most definitely are not losing players over that. You're supposed to remember the email you registered your account with. It's quite simple. You need it for ALL SORTS of stuff. Lost password, deleting characters, etc. And another thing that needs to be brought to your attention... A vast majority of pay-to-play or donation sites require you to put your email in to be able to do any payment/account related stuff.
Sorry If that seems harsh, but a fail post is a fail post, after all <3

8 month ago they suggest people to update the account's email, even they wanted to force-change all passwords, but they get back because the email issues.

If you can't remember the email, what about talking with the support team?

Just send a ticket to GMs for help using warp portal. Why ppl made crying post before doing the most obvious first: send a ticket.
Gms can help u recover ur old email if you dont remember what one u used during the registration process. Gms can help u change the email for a new one if ur old email dont exist anymore, was hacked or just simply u dont use it/like anymore. GMs can do that even if you arent the original owner of the account but the person/friend that quit gave it to you, EVEN if u dont remember the original owner/s info, etc.
Just send a ticket, wait and gave thems the info they need for help u. http://forums.warppo...tyle_emoticons/default/happy.gif

if ppl left over the OP reason then they are really stupid o i forgot my email for my account guess i need to quit. How about you not forget it's not that hard unless ur a pothead or just have crappy memory. Either way you could of wrote it down or something RO loses ppl for bigger reasons. I.E. bots spammers hard to lvl for new players etcetc.

So, You're saying that not only is requiring you to validate your identity with your email when purchasing something on the site one of the worst ideas they have had yet, but that it is also contributing to their loss of players?
I don't see your reasoning there.
What was the point of this topic?

Must agree here. And if you obtained your account some other way (friend quit, shared account, whatever) then you should have changed the e-mail long ago with the help of the original owner. For the record, I know plenty of people who have recovered old accounts without any information other than a small idea what the old e-mail could have been, and the name registered on the account. I remember years ago they always warned you that submitting false information could lead to issues in the future, and the future is here :]

Yeah, I sent out an email change on my account. Submitting a ticket with as much knowledge as possible will do it. Was it yahoo/msn/etc. Providing your info will get it recovered too. Your name/address registered. Now, if you flat out lied during that process, or was given the account and didnt get the info for it, goodluck =).

I thought the idea was to convert the old emails to the new warp portal account? If I'm mistaken, than at least they should.

Game acounts will only share the same email as the WarpPortal account it's bound to. Unbounded game accounts will still utilize the emails they were registered with.

I am a player from when RO was still in beta, before it became pay-to-play...I have since used around 6 other emails, some professional and for my job, some from my school, ect...and at the time I was paranoid of hackers, so I never selected my actual birthday. I cannot remember what crazy email I had 8+ years ago, and as I said it was not, at that time, pay-to-play so I did not keep track of it as I would have had I paid money.

I understand where you're coming from and people are jumping rather quickly to conclusions saying that a situation such as this is "stupid"...or they will ultimately think so regardless. I do not understand why, but I do not want to put people down like that anyway so I don't really want to understand.

I am also rather annoyed that the support characters are extremely under-powered now. Just the other day I was healing for over 1k and now I heal for slightly over 600 with Blessing...I do not need attack power, I need to be able to *support* people. That is why I built my aco to be full-support, not to be melee. But that is a whole different argument.
