What are Buff Sets and what is the point of having them?

When you buff, say for instance, dodge; it buffs a percentage of what your dodge is, so if you buff with a sea jade7 set your buff is stronger then if you where to buff without, and that % stays when you switch to a different gear.

Works with hp and every buff there is...

Let's say I have 20000 HP and a HP buff that increases it by 20%. After using it my HP would be 24000.

Now let's say i have a Reinforced Chest which gives me 1600 hp. My total HP prior buffing would be 21600, and my HP buffed would be 25920.

Now after removing the Reinforced Chest after buffing, the HP won't go down to 24000, because the buff affected the chest and you will still have the 20% of 1600 HP added up to your total HP. Which means you will have 24000+(1600*20%)= 24320.

Do it with more HP items and your final HP after removing all the extra HP stuff you used for buffing will be higher.

It works with every stat except for attack speed, because the stat itself is a percentage.

Just to make sure people understand this, I get requests as cleric to buff their apsd set..... please dont, its pointless. Also buffset for weapons will ofcourse disappear once you chance wep, please note this as well, yes I know this sounds logical but when has that ever stopped people.

How did I see those responces coming from a mile away; anyway...

I wouldn't recommend getting buffsets till after you get union gear.
