I only found out recently that iRO went free to play and decided I wanted to checkup on some old characters I leveled.

I stopped playing around the time glast heim was added (yes, that long ago) and I currently have ~lvl75 blacksmith/knight/priest and a few others.

The problem ive found upon returning is that most my items are missing, i had a set of elemental axes crafted for my blacksmith and a few other bits such as slotted sunglasses, but now my characters mostly don't have any armour. I suspect a friend borrowed these (he was running a cybercafe and had one of the special accounts for it.)

The next problem is, most the monsters have moved around, so the map areas I was leveling in before are full of lower level mobs.

So i'm just looking for some advice really, is there anykind of backups or recovery service for getting items back, if not then whats the best way to get a base line level of armour for lvl75s and which areas are best for them to visit to level up again properly?

You should start by forgetting about the blacksmith/knight/priest you had and making a monk.

Don't worry about gear, it is all gone and you won't get it back. But on the bright side, there is the Eden Group that you can use to get acceptable leveling gear.

It is quite easy to get to level 99 from 1/1 novice. Getting to level 30 is a snap (pun intended) and if you choose to get VIP there are Overlook and West Orc Village to get you to 99. Then you will want to trans and make a champ. Wash rinse and repeat till you are 99 again, then do the 3rd class job change to get sura. By this time you will have figured out on your own where and how to level, so yeah... pretty much grindfest it up till you hit 140-ish then own people in WoE.

Just send a ticket through the ticket system on the warpportal website and tell them your story. If they have the logs, they'll help you in any way they can. If not, then yes, go to Eden.

I don't think this route will do much good for him as he says a friend borrowed the stuff most likely. They won't protect you and give back your stuff because you gave out your password as that is not smart.

To OP. If you decide to go with a Thief class at all I have a lvling guide in the Thief class section for Renewal. It gives the links to maps and directions as well. I am in the process of making a Mage leveling guide as well for renewal but it's only about half done atm.

For the characters you already have, go ahead and get the eden gears and keep leveling your Knight would be my suggestion. Get him trans'd go LK and the Rune Knight as that is a decent 3rd class.

They'll still help in any way they can. Something similar happened to me and I sent in a ticket. They couldn't return it but they did tell me where it went and I was able to call said friend up and get at least some of the stuff back, so they will do what they can.
