basically you want to get your agi high enough so that w/ your gears you can hit 190+ aspd, 120 is max and 130 is kind of a waste imo.

Hey guys what Headgear do you use for you SCs here in iRO
because way back in pRO some of us used Large Baphoment Horns ( 12% Demi Human Resist )

for woe/pvp it's either a cat ear beret or red pom band

okay thanks for the info hotel
you don't have any items that gives around 12% demi human resist? cause you need to have a +11 Cat ear beret to produce a 12% demi human reduction

we have the feather beret which gives 10% demi human reduction. our baphomet horns don't give any resist, they only give 12% extra damage to demi humans.

I play solo SC, now level 111 job 21. Now playing at gl_knt01. Seem like will not giving so much exp. Where should I go? With my 366 flee rate, no vit. I cant go TI party because no time due to work.

Dagger/AutoShadowSpell Chaser(General build)Str ~54+6Agi ~97+3Vit ~93+7Int ~95+5Dex ~97+3Luk 1+5As the name suggests, this build centers around AutoShadowSpell for DPS. This build makes use of Vit for stun and poison resist while maintaining decent Aspd. This assures a Shadow Chaser's survival for AutoShadowSpell attacks. Its DPS will not be as high as that of the 120 base Agi build though...A Byorgue carded armor works wonders for this build.

What would it be ideal weapon for SC ASS build?
Elemental sword? Ancient dagger? Thanatos Dagger? So many choice...

fql is the best weapon, followed by thanatos dagger and elemental sword. in terms of cost the thanatos dagger is the cheapest though so you might as well go for that

fql = Faceworm Queen Leg? how expensive is it?
Also what boots and chest piece do you recommend?
#587

a +0 fql goes for around 500m i think. for boots the most popular option is temporal agi boots with ad4/runaway magic. for armour if you're using an fql you'll want to wear an elemental armour opposite to your weapon endow, otherwise a diabolus armour with a byorgue card is nice.

That's quite expensive, wonder if it's the real value or the novelty + limited supply.

it's both, it's one of the best daggers in the game + it's a rare drop.

does elemental sword proc stacks with cd in mouth?
also, shield is no go since it has aspd penalty right?
#591

Generally you won't want to use a shield but if you need the reduction a thorny buckler + bison horn works well in counteracting the aspd penalty. The reflect is also nice for proccing cd in mouth more often.

i would recommend you lower the str, atk does virtually nothing for you. if you're a low level chaser leaving it at 1 is fine, once you get up to 140+ you may need 20~30 to not miss on high def enemies. any more than that is a waste.
the dex can go lower too, 70-80 should be sufficient hit for most purposes and lets you put more points into int and agi.
for a skill build all you need is preserve and the prereqs, then the rest is really up to you. there's nothing gamebreaking for a shadow spell chaser in the stalker tree, although counter instinct is nice.

ok.. ive already put in 50 base str so oops..
does counter instinct work on missed attack by monsters? idk..
anyways thanks!
#595
Posted 15 August 2015 - 09:16 PM
no, the attack has to hit for counter instinct to trigger.

Afaik each attack has a chance of activating either, so in that sense yes.

Another question, what's your opinion on faw vs hbp for ass build
#597
Posted 16 August 2015 - 08:15 AM
depends on whether you need the extra aspd a faw gives or if you'd prefer the all round bonuses from a hbp. the hbp is also cheaper so you can card a salamander card in it for extra meteor storm damage.
personally i used a faw since the only stats i had above 90 were int/agi/vit, and with runaway magic up almost all the time the 30 matk doesn't really make much of a difference. there's the neutral resist too though, so if you're having trouble surviving mobs a backpack would help.

wouldn't salamander card better with Valkyrian Manteau? or not worth it over hbp bonus?
#599

50 matk, but you also get more ASPD bonus from HBP unless you specifically enchant the FAW for aspd.

if you're going to use a salamander card hbp is the better garment, although bear in mind this will depreciate its value.
