Back sliding was consider OP back then and was game breaking (We dint have class that can 1 shot people like now or tons of green ale and berry to out pot..} people cant kill them because we can backslide from all the melee attacker/or triangle back slide into a wiz while leaving them nice status effect like poison/venon splaser, then Grimmtooh then with other status effect and kill them off. IF it was a asura monk we just poison him -back slide from gfist and back slide back and sonic blow till he stun and crit them to death. The only people that can take out sin back then was Blacksmith and hunter..and it annoy alot of people.....LOl

Now that they enable it back i wonder how OP will they get in WOe??

Triangle back slide into every 1 and magic mushroom and etc all the maestro and every 1 they see and backsliding away... gonna be annoying.. as hell

Dark illusion would be like flying kick is for chasers. I would like it much more f dark illusion was enabled instead of backslide.

dark illusion has a 1.5sec aftercast delay, its a horrible skill if you want to do something after snapping. (20% chance to reduce delay to 0.5sec/1sec with CI autocast woo).

From the sounds of it they havent implemented shadow leap properly. You could always cast it on woe maps but all it did was unhide you, sounds like that hasnt changed. (at least back when i had a ninja, maybe they fully disabled it at some point for being utterly useless).

^ And this is why it was enabled.

And on top of that, snap has A LOT more control than backslide, so if anything snap is a slight bit more overpowered than backslide to be honest.

Backslide has actually more control than snap, when used correctly. It even is a quest skill, so you don't even spend points like suras in order to learn it. Unlike snap, you can not dispel the person backsliding and he/she has a moment in which having to re-zen->fury makes them unable of backsliding, instead you just... backslide. You don't even use magic gear fuels like mechanics or have a a cast delay like them, or a delay like them.

depends on whether you just need to get away from where you are, or have a particular direction to go and what obstacles are in the way. Being able to dictate your direction with backslide in woe is exponentially harder than with snap.

But if you can overcome that, yes backslide is better.

Dispell only removes their fury status, meaning they still have 5 spheres to get away or immediately cast fury and most likely get zen'ed right after (seeing how most of the woe sura's have +9 KVM Fist and usually default that before they actually attack.) You can use snap with a lot more ease than backslide, you aren't limited to the direct 5 cell's behind you, you have to hotkey more than just the backslide key (hint hint), and requires a lot more finesse to actually use backslide. Anyone can use snap, not just anyone can use backslide.
