I do not use any of them, and I do not currently have any of the items on the current list. I am expecting a surge in the prices of those headgears, as demand rises and supply diminishes.

You can't have currently buyable items in there, as it creates a conduit for someone just to be able to pay kp to get these upgrades, as opposed to relying on a very limited supply of headgears that had to be horded in the past.

Points should be based on the original KP cost of the item. Flapping Angel Wings giving 1/3rd less than Red Pirate Bandana doesn't make any sense, but this idea has been tossed around since before the Recycling NPC. Some of these hats, while great when the shop was first introduced, are just taking up space in a lot of people's storage and should be exchangeable for something by now. Midgard Coins were a brilliant idea.

I wouldn't be upset, and I've turned in over 50 zodiac crowns + a few dozen misc. headgears since this patch.

Remember, what we're able to recycle now could have been bought exclusively with zeny. Account-bound Kafra Shop hats, not so much. Sure there's a way now as many come in boxes, but they round out to a bit more in cost and everyone who ever bought kafra hats and didn't break them still has them taking up space somewhere. If they wanted to boost the amount of points those gave it'd be fine, but at this point I'd be happy with any way to ditch some of these ugly hats (looking at you, advanced mini propeller).

I'd like the opportunity to get rid of some of my duplicate things from when I switched servers (looking at you, chick hat & charming ribbon...) as well as my now useless ones collecting dust (yeah you, mini propeller), but unless these re removed from the 'shop first, people will just be able to infinitely purchase kp-->coin and I am pretty sure that is not the intention laid forth atm.

If they do implement this, at least make it only for a VERY limited time (more limited than the +4 HD Ores event Dec/Jan). They might want to put it up during the last 1 or 2 weeks of this Midgard Coin event. Heck, even just 1 week is fine, seeing how some people would just get KP and get those from the Kafra gals. In one point of view, one can see that missing events such as lucky boxes might more or less, make you miss events like this. On the other hand, this is indeed a good zeny drain for rich people as the prices of the recyclable headgears just rose to the roof. But as always there will be people missing this Midgard Coin event, most likely the ones who dont do lucky boxes and/no access to WP-KP/or do not have millions of zeny to spare. Seems like not all anniversary events are availble to everyone in the community - or it might just be intended that way.

The idea is actually good, there are plenty of kafra shop items wich are useless but were good in pre-renewal like ramen hat, flapping angeling. We can give those a better use but this tough can make the points able to be buyed from kafra shop.
There are different reasons this can be a good idea and also bad.
