How much do you get if you do base + job on a VIP account with the +7 Yggdrasil Hat?

The dialog seems misleading. It states if you have the hat you will gain more EXP. However, it seems that this is false and you can actually only just combine the EXP. Do you only get the EXP increase if you go base and job with the hat?




I would pick the option myself to test, however I don't want any base EXP on my char. Someone decided that if your characters are between level 100 and 104 you are punished and aren't allowed to participate in this event.

I agree the dialog is misleading, but I have not done that turn in so I do not know the amount awarded.

Actually, it seems it's not "extra", but the option to push all the exp for base or job, which is very important to push base [if you are not trans] or job [if you are a trans]

I did not entered the orcs in my SL yet, I might try it when I can~

You are correct. It is important for if you are trans.

But the dialog is infact incorrect. Those purchasing the hat on the assumption it gives more EXP are being scammed.



Here you go. I tested it on another character. It infact does not give any EXP boost when you use the hat.

Really, talking about "you get moar exp with teh hat" when it not happens is not so nice.

I think they consider having the option to put it all on Base/Job as "getting more EXP" since technically you do since you put more EXP on either option and figuratively you don't since its just an EXP conversion/transfer.

then they shouldn't call it Bonus Exp that implies something extra. Call it Bonus options XD

yes that is true, the thing is once you become high level trans, it slows down quite dramatically. When you are a fairly new player, its not an easy decision to put down 20mil on a headgear in exchange for more experience, not actually getting the bonus is a real let down.

I mean its Summer and people are coming back to play and check out the iRO Anniversary Events.

It would cost you money to do the Turn in Event via Reset Stone/Hat Upgrading.

Its not newbie friendly (non-VIP newbies)

But I am doing it it just sucks if your friend/guildee can't come with.

Yea pirate bandanna is prob a better idea right now BUT, I spoke with a GM in game (i think it was ODA), and they asked if we were getting bonuses. Apparently it worked during testing, so now they know and they're gonna fix it so just hold on a bit longer XD

Well I have 1 char (a 99/7 Biochemist) that I was doing all job on. Another char, High Priest that I was turning in with no hat. High Priest is like 97/67 now and it started at 9x/5x, so, it looks like it will reach job 70 around about the same time as 99 - so I think theres no real need for the hat.

Its my friends char, and I told them +7 Crown gives more EXP, so they went and made the hat. Now I found it doesn't give more EXP, I feel bad for telling them the wrong thing, but I only got the information from the dialog boxes. But they said, its okay, at least the hat increases my heal. Oh wait, no it doesn't do that either. Thats broken.

I didn't even realize. For 2 days, about 6 hours a day, I was doing turnins. I just ASSUMED that the hat was giving me more EXP. It wasn't until last night that I noticed it.


Its all well and good if they fix it, but, the weekend is now gone. I won't be able to play during the week due to work. The event will be over soon. Oh well.

Yeah ive made a few post before stating that it either needs to be the Ygg hat or the red pirate bandana cause it says one on the quest log and ygg crown when you talk to the quest NPC

Because the ALT-U Quest log is also misleading. It says that the red pirate hat increases the EXP.

Quest needs to give like 5% exp extra for every upgrade past +7 lol
