Example: Satan morroc has 400 def -> +400 equip atk

Edit: Also, thanatos card doesn't ignore def (and neither does ice pick), but rather add atk based on target def.

Contrary to popular belief, g fist, at least in renewal does not ignore def (at least not completely).

I don't pretend to know the exact reduction mechanics for g fist, but its def-dependence is quite easy to prove in-game. G fist someone without a weapon on (g fist damage that does not vary). Have that someone modify their def without changing stats or demi resistance. G fist again with same SP. Damage is different, meaning g fist does not ignore def.

The reduction from equip def to g fist damage is minimal, but present nonetheless. Perhaps it is like the cart cannon skill, that also does not ignore equip def, but is hardly reduced by it.

Even if g fist did/didn't ignore def, it'd seem irrelevant to me on whether thanatos card boosted equip atk. The meteor assault skill doesn't ignore def, and yet thanatos effect does not apply if source is from off-hand. Atk boosts (whether from an andre card or a thanatos card) seem more dependent on specific skill than whether def is/isn't ignored for the final skill damage.
