When I was last playing, I had a 65 PvP Tempest. I've taken a look at the skill update and I've put together a build. I'd really appreciate some feedback. I tossed in WoG just for kicks. Now that it's a party buff seems like it would be a nice addition in bg's for melee char.

P.S. Does Blessing of Haste overwrite/disallow attack speed buffs of other classes? Namely the Sin or Zerk(?) buff?

Thanks.

I like the build but why choose the defense over curse resistance?

it's easier to get 19% curse resist than 224 both def i think.

if you can't afford to + your tb weap and orn and enchant armor to cap at least fire/curse/elec resist drop charged bolt to 1 and take resist too

can't kill when dead xD

and thanks for +1 doesn't happen very often :o

i was already working on +ing my tb stuff/armor so def over curse resist makes sense. 'preciate it.

No expert but sleep beyond 5 is a waste.

I suggest you max curse rather than def simply because when melee gets to you with a 3-5 hits, you are pretty much dead in most cases whether you have the +224 def or not.

you're right in that the 200ish defense won't make that big a difference, but if I can max the resists anyway, and I have spare points, i may as well put them in something that may help me survive a bit longer.

i've been meaning to experiment with def stacking on a caster anyway.

For fun I would try Instant Moving ^^, you can shock people and I am sure a few will call you a hacker.

I have a 68 rad and about 1K def buff but I am as good as dead if a zerker, commie or any other melee that can stun me. My HP is too low. It makes zero difference. What tends to keep me alive a little longer is Mana Shield.

Maybe you should experiment with Rejuvenation. I find Rejuvenation useful maxed but mainly in PvE as I don't use sleep though I have pts on it.

def is cool and i think people who spend a lot to cap their resist with just weap/orn stack def in armor or maybe con would be better for tempy to make it bit more balanced.

surviving 1 extra hit is the difference between dieing or killing :o

personally i had to enchant armor with resist because i didnt pimp my temp much so i was extremely squishy but you should ask Confused what she does, one of best defensive/survival tempests imo

haha, instant moving would definitely be fun to mess around with, though I'm not sure that I want to lose a skill point just for kicks.

I remember Confused! She was like Rambo, just wouldn't die.

Usually if a sin or zerk jumps you you're pretty dead anyways, but for rangers and SR that extra def is pretty awesome.

<3 it up

From here on, max your mastery skills,Lightning Restraint and Holy Light.
Spare points to Curse Resistance.

DNA just max your Masteries from here to 79.

When you are FoCing and a Sin asks you for WoG or BoH you tell him he'll get them as soon as he buffs you up with Spiritual Intensification.(Bliss could also do you just fine).LOL.

P.S. I forgot...max your Holy Bolt and you could add one more or so to Soul Depuration.Up to you.

I would suggest maxing Glaring Light by either dropping Ion Shield/Divine Protection or Magic Mastery.

I wish I didnt have any on WoG. On the next free reset I am getting rid of it ^^ and placing the extra point on Soul Depuration.

I would gladly drop all def to max all attacks. But every noob hunter or SR would 1 shoot me then.Famous is right, you can't attack if you are dead.
I wouldn't drop any Mastery,I'm DPS.
Not that Divine Protection helps a lot anyways (what a crappy buff that is!!), but it adds to what you can get in your armor, and you can go + your res with TB weaps and so use Alosa.Got used to switching my TB res, attack items to ET Teddy (or Alosa).

IMO,get a decent %skill crit and a decent SCAD to kill people. And as much res and def as you can just for you to have the chance to.(Since I still can't figure out how to get decent HP with S2 average gear.)
Your Lightning Restraint+Holy light+pew pews and combo Holy Bolt+Holy Light+pew pews will do you in BG.I keep Glaring Light lvl 1 mainly for PvE but it still can be thrown at PvP.

I tend to die a lot anyways (Im a freeplayer),even with the def buff, but I also can kill many.........I used to walk about completely buffless not long ago,but remembering those days make me sad.

my foc tempest.

Don't ever drop the defense. ever.

I went with curse resi for the sole reason that I don't use tbf resist ornament but svs costume ghandarva +11. An average svs costume that doesn't take a long time to get but can be +ed to give nice hp and def + DP should enable you to survive some melee's.

Going pure damage is pretty much retarded as you can't kill anything when ur dead. My skill crit isn't off the charts and neither is my dmg but I can actually tank some dmg.

All Tempests that bothers to do some group PvP and/or raids should take BoH 8-9 at least. ;x

BOH,WOG and Curse Resistance = bah Then again I specialize in solo AOE. Now if they increase the number of skills you can have on you at one time, it might be different. Hate losing my pet because of unneeded party buffs...

Don't waste any pts on WOG or BOH.

I regret doing it on my tempest.

What is the max number of skill you can have at one time?
