Radiant defense DNA not working?

1. What is the problem?
The DNA Strengthened Survival Instinct doesn't appear to work

2. How is it caused or what do you think that triggered it?
No idea if it's a case of it just not showing up on the stats sheet or if it truly is just a waste of DNA.

3. Are you able to reproduce it, if so how?
I showed it by doing a skill reset, stripped nude and set Survival Instinct to lvl 7. My stat sheet shows Short & Long range defense at 493. I then added one point of DNA of Strengthened Survival Instinct(+84) and no change, it is still at 493.

Not only that, also affecting some masteries / dmg buff dnas, I've lost a lot of damage aswell.

It seems a lot of DNAs stopped working with today's patch. :x

well after some test looks like DNA after 6 are bugged or maybe ninja fixed

Nope, I lost the dmg from a lvl 1 dna aswell, basically all passive skills dna are not working.

Confirmed here too, defense is down between 400-500. I can't tell if it's the DNA or skill though. Just what a nerfed protector needs, less defense...

I'm down about 300, and I my testing confirmed it IS the DNA not working. At least in the case of survival instinct

Quick fix for this: Remove all DNAs from the game and claim that they'll have a new system soon.

Please give us as much useful feedback as possible, correct me if you think I am wrong on something, and speak up if you think I have missed something. Testing is ongoing at this point. Also, I know many of you express a lack of confidence, but saying things like we donâ??t care or we are not even testing is just unwarranted and untrue. So, please criticize, but donâ??t make it personal.

  • Some reports that are under investigation... (Not all, but what I have time to type up this post for...)
    • Bug Report being submitted regarding the inability to quickslot skills that should be available from the Equipment tab of the Skill UI since changes to Ornaments this patch.
    • Looking into the Guild Management Issue reported.
    • No changes client side which would explain for this (except a single character typo fix to the Guild UI) but checking it out.
  • From testing so far, weâ??re not seeing actual damage or defense output changed, but it does seem that some stat modifiers (such as those provided by Passive DNA) are not being applied to the Character Information UI stat values (at least in the skills I have had time to test so far).
    • One of the skills tested is Strengthened Survival Instinct and details are included below.
      I should also point out that I checked for modifications to client side data and found no changes to skills, class status, UI or any other data assets which we would expect to see this sort of outcome from changing. Of course there are plenty of other places where changes could have been made and have this outcome but I canâ??t necessarily check those changes. It could also be a change from a prior patch, but this community would have noticed then I am quite sure. I am requesting any changes which could have caused what is being reported be thoroughly looked into.
    • DNA Skill Strengthened Survival Instinct does not display the modified Defense value on the Character Information UI but does apply the modifier when taking physical damage on hits that are not split, blocked, missed (very low damage) or critical. (Screen shot and results from putting the values into a spreadsheet included below.)
    • Survival Instinct level 10 w/o Strengthened Survival Instinct DNA

is it not possible/desirable to do this level of serious effort regarding more pressing stuff like stealth bug?
i mean, could u folks think about maybe putting the same level of concerted effort into that bug, and some other serious bugs, even up to and including telling gravity you wont apply any more new patches at all until they fix stuff they broke over half a year ago? and yes, i'm trying to be constructive, truly.

Vosk, just because I do not post it here does not mean I do not put the time and effort in. My reports to development, whenever necessary, are as equally detailed and researched, I just don't always post them on the forums for a variety of different reasons. And, who says we have not tried the "we won't patch till you fix it" method. And now, back to preparing more of those reports...

Well, I began testing every single DNA Skill I could today and at first found that all of the casting time reduction DNA (which are easy to verify if they reduce the time to instant cast) work fine since I can cast them all while moving and would not be able to if the DNA was not working. This and other further testing has confirmed that DNA Skills are working, although they do not display their effects and modifiers on the Character Information UI and there may still be some that are not working, there has been no major change to skills this update (at least on the client side). Now, I am not discounting the reports from users complaining of reduced damage and defense stats and I am still working hard at compiling as much information about it as possible. I am testing a large variety of DNA skills effects (before and after) like I did with Survival Instinct earlier to get a better idea of whether or not the DNA are having their stated effects.
