cannot init d3d OR grf file has problem. ?!

If you have just copied the RO folder onto the new laptop, it will simply be blank where in this window it says "Direct 3D Hal." Click in this area and select your graphics card. This will fix the D3D error.
Fix this and then maybe someone else will have come back and reply to the second part of the issue :] I gtg for now!

first, go to the gravity folder or wherever you installed the game to. Open it, and go to setup.exe. It will open this window:

well the first 2 spaces r blank and i have nothing to choose o_o; am i missing a file or something? would it be best to rendownload if so, even tho i was trying to avoid that option lol

also what version of windows are you running? windows 7?

You either do not have drivers for your graphics card installed, or you do not have Microsoft DirectX installed.
Drivers are available from the manufacturer of your laptop or graphics card.
Microsoft DirectX is available for free from the microsoft website (go for the "redistributable" if your windows copy isn't legal and it won't let you DL the normal version).

is your video card properly installed?
also what version of windows are you running? windows 7?
