Hello all,

Thinking of a radiant, meant mainly for raids, using a carus staff; what is the best enchantment(s) I should consider to put into that staff?

I know that heals won't trigger enchantments such as Skill Critical Double Up, so I'm guessing that ain't the best choice if that radi is mainly healing during raids, which leads me to think best enchantments for radi weapons are raid enchantments like Light Claw (or whatever was its name)from RH? Since I see RH rarely dropping those I can't recall if they could enchant weapons/ornaments/armor or what. Also don't know if Biskra or DC drop enchantments that can be used by radiants, any idea?

In one line: what is the best enchantment(s) you can use for a radiant's staff meant mainly for raids?

Thank you for any advice

Ruinhorn Light Magic Claws. (5-6 Magic Damage Light, 1% Skill critical)

If you have money to spend and already have a high skill critical, High ranks are better.

You'll collect the claws over time if you do RH daily.

Or even easier if you have a solid guild or group of friend.

Lazyness....my worst enemy there. Dont have much time to play because of work, that's why I don't feel like raiding when I get to play, but I guess I'll sacrifice myself a bit for this char. Thank you very much for your advices :dunno:

For armour pieces you can consider any xeons that boost stats, especially MND. The best are of course raid xeons (RH, Biskra, DC, both S1 & S2). These are obviously rare and expensive, but worth the trouble. Also, you can use SvS 3-3 Light xeons, they are also great for armour (again, they cost many points and are expensive).

These are the top choices, there are also IM attribute xeons. These only raise the attribute by 3, on the other hand they are much cheaper and affordable.

For weapons, as mentioned above, there isnt anything better than RH claws (primarily Light ones, but also plain magic would do) and High Rank xeons. Or, if these are way too exotic, you could always use magic attack xeons, the best right now being IM ones (2-3 magic damage).

As allways i would say it all depends on the rest of your equipment. If you allready have 80% skill crit chance or more (idk, +30 skill crit ball??) high rankes would be better. If you are lacking skill crit RH Light Claws would be better in my oppinion.

On armor it also depends too. 4con/4mnd RH xeons could be huge if you fill you armor with that, that wouls make your rad a lot less squishy and would be specially usefull for pvp. 6 mnd xeons would raise your heals a lot if you stack them and would be better for pve in my oppinion. 3-3 ligh magic dmg xeons from SvS would raise your heals the most, but i like the mp, mp regen and skill crit mnd gives. Sure, each 1 mnd seems little, but if you stack them youll notice a diference soon.

As allways that has to be considered with the rest of equipment. If you have DC staff i think 4con/4mnd are better for example since youll have very little hp. If you have a staff that pluss con 6 mnd may be better.

Dont consider wep only, think of equipment as a whole and decide what you need more :dunno:

Unless you use a Lvl 10 Pet and such, SvS 3-3 Light are much better than most S2 MND Xeons.

dont be so sure....

A DC or biskra mnd xeons will give you 2 heals and a 3-3 well, 3
You lose only 1/3 healing power and gain lots of mp, mp recovery and some nice skill crit. Of course, with a lvl 10 pet + all stats +10% is even better to add mind.

so my opinion for end game radiant, i think DC staff is way greater than others for scad/skill crit so i would 100% go with this. Also RH light claws i also think are way greater than 20-20 if you look at the bigger picture, for example fully enchanted DC staff with light claws will give you 7% crit which 20-20 doesnt give so ok you think magic dmg from 20-20 is way greater but that 7% from the light claws you can then reset 2 jewels and instead of enchanting with skill crit you should enchant with scad xeons, even IM scad xeons will give you 80 scad if 8/8 2 jewels, 80 scad is way greater than a 20-20 and its no loss on skill crit as you gain this from the claws. yes 7/7 DC staff with 20-20 would add 140-140 but really this is s2 whos gonna waste the money on that :dunno: Also some rads dont like DC staff because no HP but you can simply improve your defense and resist to help with this, 72 salvation set being the superior set giving both skill crit on stat and scad on reinf. Also if you want to improve your con a little work mainly on earrings and LW con/mnd s2 rings are also really nice but carus. Just my opinions, hope it helps a little.

Why would you enchant scad on a radiant?? Heals are not resisted
If you mean for dmg.... well you picked the wrong class

Tbh i would never enchat scad on my rad, 3-3 SvS would give you 6 more crit heals while IM Scad xeons only 5. Besides, you cant trust you will allways crit, even at 100% so better get both, normal heals and crit heals higher.

About DC staff, sure in the long run will give the most healing power cos of more crit heals. But that still dosnt make it enough for me to consider it the best staff. I prefer LW, why?? Well dead radiants dont make good healers so i like the extra HP

Like i said at start this was my opinion, if you think scad doesnt effect heals then you are very wrong, try it. Yes LW staff is really nice but i like the skill crit from DC so unless u can get 79 or scad ball then this is pretty nice and goodluck getting LW staff and also put LW staff on my defiler so. Again this is my opinions, would be boring if we all did and thought same, im not into "follow the leader"

I dont mean scad dont affcts heals. I ment there are better things to enchant on a rad.
1 3-3 light dmg xeon would give 3 normal heal more and 6 crit heal more
1 5 ion mine scad xeon would give 0 normal heal more and 5 crit heal more

3-3 wins since heals are not resisted, for a dps its compltely diferent cos of resistace and they need more scad.
So for a rad i allways chose armors (salvation) and staff (LW) that plus scad, cos its easy to get from there and woul raize my crit heals a lot saving me spots to enchant other things. Thats why i decided i wont use skill crit ball either on rad. Skill crit is really easy to get enchanting and dmg ornament from tbh give me more healing power when i need it. But gotta admit, would be nice to have 90% skill crit XP
Still need to do more testings with that ball, maybe the crit % would let me enchant other stuff on jewels other than skill crit and raise my heals even more, but since for pvp i need some resistances my crit rate would suck in battlefields... :dunno:

Edit: i also like more RH claws, what can i say, im a crit-_- XD

Edit 2: you can get over 70% skill crit chance without skill crit ball, so imh no need for it in a healer. Im still not at that point, i wish sooner or later i would reach it

i would put rh con/mnd after put 2-3 svs light in armor. u get best of both scrit/mp and heal amount and some extra hp. also if u are healing over 4k heals and happy with ur heal amount u can use quirk of fate for even more hp. now i know the whine is gonna come but quirk has more scrit than ruans. ^^ and ffs use foc acrea armor.
