the skill immediately disappears on the before an attack hit
I did the best I could given the material, apparently.
If it's for the full damage, then the person you cast on doesn't have the HP to make any kind of decent shield out of the KE. If it's not, then the shield prevents some of the hit but there's leftover. Not sure what else it could be without some more (accurate) details?

Well I gave a hard armor to a friend, he wore it. He lures a zombie. I cast level 8 KE, but he still recieves the same amount of damage on the first hit as any other hits.

Anyway, if it's only the first hit, then KE hasn't activated before the hit did. The animation from monster attacks must complete before the damage is applied, but the starting time of each effect seems to be set in stone. This is, incidentally, why monsters sometimes appear to kill you after you've killed them (most player attack animations are faster than many monster attack animations), or why planting a safety wall just as a monster catches up to you doesn't prevent the first hit of damage.
In the case of the zombie monster, the attack is queued the instant the zombie recoils to vomit at you. It's a relatively slow attack animation.

Unless it's level 1 KE and that player had no dodge or vit, I'm not sure, because it seems to work fine for me...

This is most likely the cause. If you don't have enough hp to withstand the stated *around* 10% hp per hit the lvl 1 KE will just disappear.Unless it's level 1 KE and that player had no dodge or vit, I'm not sure, because it seems to work fine for me...
Edit: 10% of hp means that 10% of your hp has to match for what the monster is hitting for. if 10% of your hp is 100 and the monster hits for 200 the KE will disappear.
