So I know some people are taming these new pets but my question is HOW. I tried more than 5000 times with that skill and I just can't get any luck. Anyone got some input? How many attempts did it take you? Which pet did you get?

I used regular tames for all my catches. Buying shops are great for items like that. <3

I've gone through 30+ tames in a run with no luck, but at the same time, I've gotten lucky with green maidens or, somehow, zealotus (she's a stubborn ...monkey-fighting horse. I wish I could swear on here sometimes...) I like to beat the monsters into submission, too. I don't know if it actually does anything to affect the chances, but it makes you feel better if they're being stubborn.

That's a mercenary from the Bishop change I think? I believe that some people caught new pets with hocus pocus. I know this was the case when they released Alice pets.

That's a mercenary from the Bishop change I think? I believe that some people caught new pets with hocus pocus. I know this was the case when they released Alice pets.

Yep the Valk pet is used during the AB job change quest, it disappears when the contract of the pet ends.

So you can go any town to show off with it ^^

I'm almost sure that is from a pserver, at least the part of pets doing skills instead of giving stat bonuses.

..and the part of the top saying "eAthena".

Are there actually new pets in or is this just from other servers?

I had to buy my Imp, because I failed about ~20 tames. I know people who have caught one in less than 10 and sometimes even the first try. It's all luck.

I've caught a lot of other pets. The ones that stumped me were the high end rare ones like Zeal, so I had to buy them, because I was using up 20+ tames. I caught a few Succubus. It took 30 the first time and like 2 the 2nd. It's all random.

What skill is this? It's so hard to find information on new pets :s

While the informations are from a p-server (as it seems) in russia, the pets are correct and correctly accociated with their cute pet armor (that's partly still missing here).
Latest pets we got on euRO were Incubus, Whisper and Marionette - and I really REALLY miss my Marionette q.q

I took the time to speedcheck on the kRO client if there's something changed regarding to pets.

Yeah, they're in, but you have to get them through hocus pocus, I'm pretty sure.

I had a feeling we had new pets due to the food, but the tames are nowhere to be seen.

5000? you are at least an order of magnitude too low... it took me 47 failed + 1 successful beastly hypnosis to obtain my goblin leader.

edit: also, most the new pets have been available for a year or so.

Yes but there are 2 of them. And MVP one and the ET one which isn't an MVP or a boss monster.

The one iRO has in ET is the mvp.

Monster id 1630 is the tamable one out of the 3(?) bascojin versions, which should be the MVP.

the server knows a lot of Bacsojin's for some reason there are 5 in the MonsterDB. Only Gravity knows why they needed so many virgins

There's actually a different in the pallette ;3
And because I know both of them (White Lady and Bascojin), I can tell from the pallette, that it's Bascojin, means, not the MvP. And I doubt that they ever will make a MvP tameable.

And even though Bascojin may have a taming item, due to the fact that you can't face her really ingame without a buggy map or a GM that spawns her, I guess the pet would be delivered as egg, not as tame. For example within a Lucky Box or through an Event (like the Christmas Rabbit - which is missing in the upper list btw, now I know why there were two Lunatic illustrations! XD I'll edit it. Also, there's New Years Doll missing... Also sharing it's illustration with Green Maiden this time ^^)

Anyway, hearing you talking about taming them with Hocuspocus... is the chance getting that skill really this high here?
I never was lucky to set the skill of once on euRO, when I HP'd with my Sage...
Would be a reason for leveling my sage sooner than planned ^^

I wasn't going to outright say how to do it but as long as you're okay saying how to do it, yes there are a ton of new pets. It wouldn't do any good to go tame ones you can't feed but now that I've seen a few running around very secretively, people obviously know how to use hocus pocus to do it.

That being said, I've talked to the GMs and they don't have the time to implement them, although from what I see they're implemented fine (the 2 I've seen - goblin leader and a secret second one ).
