*cough* see list above *cough* ;o
There are 21 Pets that could be aviable (HP, putting the tames ingame *hint to GM's*) but aren't right now on iRO ;3

Edit:
Except for a Bug I experienced once... Pets don't make any noises...
So yay for Leaf Cat *-*

Edit 2:
Highlighted the new ones/not iRO ones in the previous list for better recognizing.

Most those pets were implemented dec 2009, along with green maiden + succubus. The dead giveaway should have been the wanderer pets in an early 2010 lucky box (those weren't due for a few more updates). However, there is the food issue (a lot of foods were added with renewal), currently available from pet merchants are:

6095 - Flavored Alcohol - Miyabi Doll
6098 - Small Snow Flower - Marionette
6100 - Damp Darkness - Whisper
6104 - Big Cell - Goblin Leader
6108 - Apple Pudding - Medusa
6110 - Vital Flower - Incubus & Succubus
6111 - Mystic Stone - Golem
6112 - Fresh Plant - Nightmare Terror

Most of these foods are lacking item descriptions, as are the eggs. Loyalty bonuses also seem to be broken.

Also, i saw someone commenting that they had tamed a few of the regular goblins (during the HP event we had last year), but I dont see their food available anywhere.

No guild for my actual time for playing is to short and I like to switch characters way too often ^^
(but you could ask me that via PN, too ;o exspecially when you're not writing in english)
Why?

Edit:
Nearly forgot...
Wanderer has its food ingame of course, but I'm a bit surprised about the Marionette Food and the other food of not official implemented pets to be honest.
We got the food to the pet merchant as we got the pets, and only the foods needed for those (Marionette, Whisper, Incubus).
As I glanced over the pet merchant, I thought the Small Snow Flower would be a Imp food... XD

One of my guildmates has a Goblin Leader. He purchased it off another player who got it months ago during the Hocus Pocus "event" where the skill had temporarily increased success rates.

No cheat or secrets or hacks, no need for all the melodrama about the GMs needing to make a statement. From what I've heard, only certain pets on the new list are implemented as tameable at the moment, which is why some are working and others are still evading capture.

not too familiar with the pet system. What does yellow gems do?

You need Yellow Gemstone for the Sage Skill "Hocuspocus". You need 2 of them, or one if you have gemstone song or Missy Card (doesn't stack).
Hocuspocus sets of a whole bunch of player skills and some unique effect skills. One of them is the chance to tame a monster, that's tameable, with the skill instead of a taming item.
Others are for example: Fly Wing effect, Butterfly Wing effect, instand death, Summon Monster (like DB), changing Monster into a Poring or MVP.
The thing is: You don't know which of these effect skills you got (Taming or Changing), because they're shown as "????"
(The other effects above are set off immedeatly)

Hocus Pocus was a heck of a lot of fun back in the day before they made it take 2 gemstones. Then again, I was a bit too low level at the time to really enjoy it.

They could put a different pet in each lucky box each month, then maybe a month or two later formally release them outside boxes.

I totally agree with you in this point. I would love it that way!
It doesn't force you too purchase the Box just for the pet, but it makes it easier for impatient people or people who don't like to tame.
Maybe you can add the tame in the box, too, just at a higher chance. (Like... A Class = Egg, C/B Class = 10x Taming)
That would be awesome x3

Edit:
There's one question still unanswered though...
Is the chance for the taming skill that high here on iRO?
Or do you just spend a hell lot of gemstones on these maps in the hope of the skill?
(Also, do you know exactly which pets are tameable and which not?)
Could bring me to level my sage next x3

I want an GM Pet :waddle:

For example, everytime you see an GM Ingame you can use the Item ,,Sauerkraut with Wurst". It has a low chance, like 0,01% to work, but if you catch an GM it will grand you +100% HP/SP, -7% from all elements, cloacking lvl 10 and let you warp to every city for free -_-

Can I have it PLS?

And yes, bavarian, not german... cause this is a typical bavarian food... XD (bavarian traditions are easy mixed up with overall germany)

Last time they put tames in boxes, I just remember that so many people complained... Somehow, I don't think it's a popular item. Maybe pet tames are down there with the party scrolls in popularity. @_@;; Haha... I'd rather them be available in game without cash anyway though~ Maybe have some of the new pet tames as event quest rewards. 8D I'd be all over that.

fRO's way to implement a lot of custom Pets (In all honesty, fRO is just an big official PServer hosted by Gravity europe for me - they even stole an pserver Bloody Prontera, implemented it on Main Server and forgot to delete the pserver advertisment from the map..).
You were able to buy those pets as an egg directly from the Kafra Shop. If I am not wrong, an Byorgue was 7 Euro or something like that.

I really miss my Byorgue :waddle:

Well, you said it. It's an official P-Server... x_x
(Why couldn't we got an iRO transfer? q.q)

Why not making a pure Pet-Lucky-Box?
Eggs in the upper classes, tames in the lower classes, Taming Gift Box as lowest class...
I would so love it <3

They're supposed to give stat-boni when loyal (and the step beneath... but I don't know how this is called on iRO atm xD) since 13.2
Didn't checked if this may be bugged atm, but I don't think so ^^
