Yeah~ I am having some trouble. I made a sage and then I learned abracadabra on her.

I am just willing to know. Where can I use it?

I tried on Prontera: "Can't use it"

I tried on Eden: "Can't use it"

I tried on Alarms: "Can't use it"

It worked on South Prontera though. The wiki says it is just blocked on WOE maps... So I confirmed this is not true.

Is that an error or is it working as intended?

Hocus pocus's prime was 6 or so years ago when people would huddle up in a random house in pront and morth monsters with hocus pocus and eventually make lord of death. Then someone would tank it and people would kill the mob it spawns endlessly and get amazing exp (while also healing LoD so he doesn't die). It went on for days and days. But then they made it so you only got exp of the first mob of an mvp. So it was no more. I'm sure you can't use it in some of those areas due to this which happened years ago.

1. If you did it properly, you didn't need to heal lod at all.
2. You can't use it in many areas because they don't want people abusing it to kill others, etc. This was a relatively recent change.

In other word hocus pocus isn't worth it anyone. XD

I think they randomly turned hocus off whenever people cried about a turnin-event-map being Bloody Branched;
then later, when the event was over they were too lazy to enable it again.

and that's after they nerfed the hocus MVP rates, doubled the gem consumation and nerfed the "0 gems needed" with missie card and Power cord.
And arround the same time they added Bloody Branches for cash

Power Cord / Mistress never made Abracadabra spend less than 1 gem though.

But the real nerf was on the "Levelup" skill. The skill gave 10% base exp, regardless of your level o:

But whatever. The question is. Where can I use the skills now? Inside a home was crazy. In the towns, too. But being unable to use it on a dungeon is someway cruel~ hehe~

I'm sure you can use it on other dungeons when there's no TI event on right now...
Maybe try it in culverts or so?

I am kinda newb, but these "skill destructions" that happens because of crying people is really annoying.

That skill particularly is kinda hard to get, they should limit it more in sp cost, item using, but changing the useable maps was an totally lazy resolution.

Hocus Pocus was just nerfed too hard in general. Lowered boss summon rate, removed level up all together, limited map usage now, HP specific skills no longer work on boss type, limited and cheap pets makes beastly hypnosis not worth the gem spam and setup it requires, and the mvp's it can even summon are outdated low end 1-shottable crap mvp's that noone really hunts (again, not worth the gem spam when can just use summoner).

I remember when HP was used for Monocell bios 3 mvp mobs to make them tankable. Good times hehe.

That being said, I don't really know where you can and cannot use it. Since, towns and dungeons are blocked I would assume field maps only. However, I would love to know why you WOULD want to even use the skill at all? It's all around terrible.

Oh~ Blocked on towns and dungeons... Oh well now I need to rely on dead branches to get mah pets o:

The other thing I hate on abracadabra is the requirements. It requires the weapons and catalysts if you really want to use the skills.

They could renew it and implement the "Improvised Song" script, to ignore the catalysts. Like. Some times the skill is summoned two times, and then it toasts 4 gems for... Nothing. And the lots of "Skill has failed" or "this skill can't be used with this weapon", and we don't know even which skill tried to show.

And all the pets that worth something are in dungeons. At least I can have fun summoning random skills o:
