I have Frontier. They seem to think I only pay for internet from 10 AM to 10 PM and then turn it to craptastic mode for the rest of the night. 198ms Ping with 130ms Jitter.

What's your ISP and what's your Ping while playing? I need a new ISP. Badly.

My natural ping on RO is like 470+, and with Lowerping, I make it 180 to 239, roughly. I'm in Australia.

The connection isn't the problem, it's the jitter I have... It bounces back and forth from around 150 to 500. @@

I've got 39ms and 2ms Jitter with Time Warner. Sometimes it's better and sometimes it's worse, but I'll have to check it again during "prime" hours.

your isp likely has porn addicted users on that same node. isnt much you can do, ive always had the best latency and availability of service with DSL. however, the cheapest tier of DSL is often too slow for extremely active gameing such as what you find in WoE. with the top tier of DSL bandwidth, it's possible to enjoy 30ms ping with enough bandwidth to download and watch 3 movies at the same time reliably, you just gotta pay too much for it.

I also use Time Warner cable internet. 50-60ms ping during peak hours, despite being halfway across the country, isn't too bad. The only trouble I have is the occasional brief outage every couple of months due to something damaging lines, but when something goes wrong it's usually fixed within an hour.

Charter communications 40Mbps down 2Mbps up:
I average anywhere between 40-50ms pings to gravity with my semi-static routes I have set up. The only problem with this is if a node goes down I can't just re-route on the fly, I have to reload routing tables before I can reconnect.

It was 5am when I checked this morning, but now around 8pm it's the same as yours. I get peeved at TW sometimes, but when I went in search of a better ISP in my area, it can't be beat. I think when the cable goes out they get so many angry calls, that's why it goes back up quickly xD And in comparison to poor Ralis, I won't complain :P

I got Frontier too unfortunately. But I've no such problems. Always works the same for me, which is decent. It used to play WoW just fine, and now it even handles RO + streaming netflix on the Wii for my wife with no problems..

I got the lowest plan too, 19.99 a month haha.

FiOS is love. Dx How I miss it so. -at the beach-

I have Verizon FiOS at home, and I can run RO while streaming Netflix on my laptop and have my dad download huge files in another room and it runs perfectly. It can probably handle more than that, and it probably does.

:< Where I'm staying at this week has Time Warner, and I'm not sure if it's the fact I'm at the beach or other people are actually using it, but laggy after around 10:30am, then it's insanely laggy when I play RO after about 1pm, and 8am to 10am and 2pm to whenever-I-feel-like are my current playing times!. Didn't do that last year, but I think the people next door are using the internet this year. ><
