What's going on, I just downloaded the game and updated it. I need some help in making a Templar, in the past I made the mistake of playing a new game before doing any research on it. I would appreciate it, if someone would direct me in the right direction.

What type of build are you going for and what lvl do you want to go to? Also when you get to lvl 50 do you want to go radiant or tempest?

If you dont know which 2nd job you wanna get (tempest or radiant), you can also save most of the skill points
and skill only those skills which you need for both 2nd jobs.

Some example build:

Nice wiki to get some game related information:

Yup, first decide if you wanna be a lvl 49 battlefield twink oe keep leveling.
If you will go on leveling at lvl 50 you will pick 2nd job, tempests or radiant

Radiants are main healers in game, little damage, a lot of heals, some nice buffs and crowd control skills.

Tempests are casters aoe DPS with 2 buffs for physical characters and some nice crowd control too.

If its your first char i would sugest to go tempest, they are a lot easyer to grind, lvl up and great farmers.

Thank you for all the replies. Yes this is my first character, after reading the suggestions, sounds like Tempest is what I'd like to play. I have a question about the calculator, how do I use it?

# first choose your class on the right side -> tempest
# then enter a lvl f.e lvl 65
# then put mouse over a skill and then you can click 3 symbols: "+" to increas skill lvl, "-" to decresease skill lvl and "i" for skill information (very usefull)
# same procedure with DNA...

In my opion are good:

1st job skills: Sleep, Holy Bolt, Divine Protection ... this skills you should get high as possible
(only to 1 filler skill point in elec bolt, charged bolt, lesser heal)

2nd job skills: Glaring Light, Lightning Restraint, Magic Weapon Mastery, Magic Mastery, Holy Light

yes.

1st job is from lvl 1 to lvl 49.
2nd job is from lvl 50 to lvl 79.

with 2nd job you get new skills.

With a tempest your going to need to gear it well for pvp. I set up a basic build for you, in case you need something to build upon. And when you realize how you like playing your tempest just change it around.

That seems more like a support grinding build. Why would he need melee buffs for straight pvp?

Is this build good for grinding also? And how would I change my skills around after I put points into them. Would I need to buy a skill reset, if I decided to change the skills around?

Melee build! L35 Khrentium armour, sword, MP rec shield, physical jewels. Works :thumb:

Of course AOE caster build far better...

Cuz you can buff your melee party ppl... SR gets kinda OP with this buff.

And why are you doing lvl 10 elec bolt and only lvl 1 magic skill mastery?

My build with lvl 1 elec bolt, lvl 10 magic weapon mastery and 2% more magic mastery dna has for sure same damage
( if 2% magic damage is bigger then 64 - 56 = 8 damage)

Sleep to 10 instead of 5 is kinda powerfull too in pvp.

And puting dna points in strengthened lesser heal is kinda a waste after heal nerf.

And puting dna in range increas of glaring light is kinda waste too cuz it only targets 4 ppl even if skill is maxed (10)

Don't listen to anyone who tellls you to max out "Weapon of God" or "Blessing of Haste". Zero on Blessing of Haste cause unless you max it, it's pretty much worthless. Weapon of God, 1 and 1 DNA if you are feeling generous. ^^

Sleep 10 makes a huge difference. So max sleep. I currently have it on 5 on my tempest. Waiting for a free reset to change my build ^^.

lol no glaring light hits 8 targets maxed out. He wants single target pvp, no point in having support buffs if you want to be a solo killing machine. The build I gave him was a base rfernce build, I have my own build for my tempest. the point is that he uses the build for reference and then decides what works best for him and changes it as he likes.
