I don't know if it's just me/my computer; but there seems to be no background music in RO. It's been like this for a couple of days (and yes my sound configuration does say the BG music is turned on). Does anyone else have the same issue?

Try turning it off and on again in game, (Unchecking the box an re-checking it) it works with me sometimes.

What about the other in game sounds (Sound Effects) ?

Have you enabled sound in iRO setup (The Setup Window) ?

/bgm is the fast command for turning BGM on or off, too.
Also, check in the audio setting ingame if you maybe have set the volume very low by accident

Yep i tried turning it on and off several times; along w/rebooting the game up. All sound settings are up the fullest. The sound effects still work perfectly, but the music isn't. I was kind of hoping it wasn't just me having trouble; it means there's probably something goofy with my computer lol.

Press Esc > Select Option > Adjust your sound and BGM > Profit!

Charon says it, next thing to check would be the BGM folder.

It happened to me before as well. Virus scan threw out all the BGM folders for some reason. Had to reinstall to get them back.

You basically don't need to reinstall the whole game for that.
You can just put them back in - if the problem is the missing bgm's, I'll take a look at the folder size and may upload them for you

When you go to reinstall the game, it'll ask if you just want to repatch what's missing or what not.

ah, k, when it happened that I had to reinstall the game, I always uninstalled it first, so I didn't knew that XD
It's still an option if he/she has to download the client again ^^
