There are three NPCs from the Tripatriate Union's Feud quest that let's you exchange New World drops for specialty foods.
This one trades you 1 ATK + MATK food for 5 Mystic Horns.
This one trades you 1 crit food for 5 Peaked Hats.
Don't mind Hansenne, he's nuts.
And this one gives you 1 hit + flee food for 5 Furs.
These foods are not overpowered in the slightest, but they are basically free and are a nice boost considering.
Here lies the problem!
These NPCs will stop exchanging food with you if they see that you have 5 or more of the food item in your inventory. This can be somewhat bypassed if you place them in a cart or have someone else carry your extras, but in the end, your character must always have less than five of the food item in your inventory in order for the NPC to convert the item into food. Not only that, it's out of the way of the Cat Hand save point, so you can't just sit there and throw them into storage in a timely manner (and that's if you even have access TO the Cat Hand storage service). You have to jump a few hoops to get a lot of these exchanged at one time.
5:1 ratio seems decent, but considering the circumstances surrounding these NPCs, it's stupidly slow. Especially if you hunt in New World a lot...
...like I do.
I have actually stopped picking up these drops because the amount of time it would take to convert all of these into food is extremely daunting. Could these NPCs be more forgiving towards bulk exchange?
