I'm wanting to do some experiments with my sage using hocus pocus, but to be honest, I don't know much about the skill. I saw in another thread that someone was able to tame a monster that currently is not an available pet in RO, but is on servers like kRO and jRO. My question is, with level 1 Hocus Pocus, is the monster tame one of the skills available, or do you have all the skills on the list to start with and they just have a really low chance?

Never had a hocus pocus sage (even tho I am intrested) I am guessing its similar to paladin's skill battle chant. Meaning its totally random, But higher lvl gives certain effects better chance to come out more constantly. either way you shall need a huuuuuuge amount of yellow gems with you xD.

I'm guessing is, in theory, we have the actual scripts for those pets, and it's just a matter of releasing their tame items. So, a skill that could tame monsters should work with this. . .

Anyways, I'm not sure how this all works. Earliest level that I got Monster Tame is with lvl 5 Hocus Pocus. However, I don't know if increasing or decreasing its level will affect how often you get the skill.

P.S. - be careful not to accidentally Monocell or Class Change the monster you're trying to tame

Yeah, I got monocell earlier. So far, the only place I've found to try and tame one of the "possibly" new pets, is Amatsu Field. Every other place where a new pet is located has had HP banned. I really want the opportunity to try and catch an Evil Nymph since the DB I was looking at said her food was "Morning Dew", which may be the ones that are sold from the alchemist guild.

I guess it's worth mentioning (though I may get in trouble for it) that there used to be a 3rd party program which shows what ???? skill you got. I remember this coz people were holding up Alice, trying to tame it with Hocus Pocus, and miraculously never Mono Celled, Class Changed, or Grim Reaper'd it.

I'd rather not do something like that. I've never been very fond of the idea of using any 3rd party programs, because for all I know, they could have some kind of virus attached to them, and I really like my computer.

What pet did they tame?

Is there an official list of the pets we have info for, but aren't currently implemented on iRO?
