I'm looking for a headphones+microphone headset that's:

$100 or less
Comfortable for using hours at a time
Noise-canceling microphone

Will be using it for gaming, music, and audio-recording. Thanks!

I find quality headsets to be extremely expensive, but quality headphones by the same company to be affordable. In that respect, what I do is use either Sennheiser wireless headphones or Klipsch in-ear headphones, and just use a cheapo microphone additionally, setting Ventrilo settings to audio output through the Klipsch/Sennheiser while input through the headset. Then I just hang the headset around my neck, microphone tilted towards my mouth. As bad of a stigma as earphones carry regarding quality, I use a $79 pair of earphones I bought from Klipsch for VST/Music production and it gives clearer, deeper sound than anything I've tried before. Their sound engineers are geniuses and despite its small size it carries some intense frequencies. I've also used them while mowing the lawn and I couldn't hear the lawn mower I was riding on, no joke. http://www.klipsch.c...-ear-headphones

As an audiophile I'm pretty loyal to those two companies though, so shamelessly: http://www.sennheise...b-pc-skype-voip

This is a list of Sennheiser's personal audio headsets. They range from about $50 to $400, but they've got some good stuff at just over $100 if you're a little bit flexible. Then they've got some state-of-the-art, professional, air-traffic-control grade wireless, lightweight headsets that feel like you're not even wearing a headset for $800-$1,000. :P

Hope this helps!

Guess this is all the response I'm going to get.

Thanks for the help, though. I'll look into those.

Only brand I could think of for under $100 is Turtle Beaches.

Personally, I have a massive melon, like Conan O'Brian sized, so finding headsets that are comfortable for me is a little difficult. I ended up with a set of Razer Carcharias and they've served me very well. However, I know for a fact that a lot of people have problems with them suddenly not working, so I went to best buy and got the full replacement warranty thing. I did have to return one set after a week, but my current set has been working perfectly for about a year now. I really would recommend them if you have a hard time finding a comfy headset.
