In anticipation of 3rd Class Balance Changes scheduled to be implemented soon when and if they arrive in iRO, I've decided to translate kRO Balance changes with more details. Please note that changes listed here are tested by kRO players.

Currently working on up-coming iRO update/event translation

This is NOT the skill balancing patch that is scheduled to be released on iRO in August.

NOTE: This thread will be updated as I translate more balance changes from kRO. Please keep in mind that these Balance changes are from kRO, therefore it may be altered by the time it arrives on iRO.

4/13 Balance Changes

These are 4/13 kRO Sakray Balance Changes. Please take note kRO has been constantly updating the Class Balance Changes. These changes will be translated AFTER I have completely translated 4/13 Balance Changes for ALL Classes.

Sorcerer Balance Changes

Arullo

Target's int (total): 5 int - 12 Second duration, 60-70% success rate.

Target's int (total) 50 int - 10 Second duration, 50-60% success rate.

Target's int (total) 100 int - 8 second duration, 50-60% success rate.

The success rate is an approximate. The average success rate is 50%.
Land Protector (Magnetic Earth) does not block the use of arullo.
Ventus Spirit Control removes all fixed casting time.


Poison Burst

No Fixed Cast time. Skill Re-use delay 2 - 2.5 seconds.

Damage with 120 total int - 2070% * base level/100.

Slightly stronger than Earth Grave.

ie. Earth Grave hits for 6600 per hit while Poison Burst hits for 7700 per hit.

Splash Damage - Only the targets that were poisoned are hit.

Cloud Kill has high chance of inflicting poison status on targets. Therefore players may opt to use Poison Burst in War of Emperium for added damage.

Cloud Kill

Damage remains the same.
Skill Animation remains the same.
Ventus Spirit Control removes all fixed casting time.

Vacuum Extreme

No changes.


Striking

Slight change to damage increase.
If all Endow skills are maxed, +100 Equipment Atk increase.
If the beneficiary is using lvl4 weapon, 100 + 72 (down from 75).
If the beneficiary is using lvl3 weapon, 100 + 54.


Warmer

Level 1 - 40 second duration, 35 second re-use delay, 1% hp/3sec regen.
Level 2 - 45 second duration, 40 second re-use delay, 2% hp/3sec regen.
Level 3 - 50 second duration, 45 second re-use delay, 3% hp/3sec regen.
Level 4 - 55 second duration, 50 second re-use delay, 4% hp/3sec regen.
Level 5 - 60 second duration, 55 second re-use delay, 5% hp/3sec regen.

Overall the re-use delay was shortened by 10 seconds.

Diamond Dust

Casting time decreased.
Ventus Spirit Control removes all fixed cast.
Crystalization rate reduced to 10%.

Varetyr Spear

Casting time increased.
Stun rate decreased.
Ventus Spirit Control removes all fixed cast.

Earth Grave

Fixed Cast time reduced.
Ventus Spirit Control may or may not remove all fixed cast.
Ventus Spirit Control greatly reduces the cast time.
Variable Cast time increased.


Spell Fist

Damage increased by approximately 1.5 times
Still deals bolt-type damage, 15 bolts total.

Still completely useless for practical use.

Sorcerer Pet: Agni

When in passive mode: [Heater], Psychic Wave will deal Fire Element damage and it will cost 1.5 times more SP to cast.

Sorcerer Pet: Aqua

When in passive mode: [Cooler], Psychic Wave will deal Water Element damage and it will cost 1.5 times more SP to cast.

Sorcerer Pet: Ventus

When in passive mode: [Blessed], Psychic Wave will deal Wind Element damage and it will cost 1.5 times more SP to cast.

Sorcerer Pet: Terra

When in passive mode: [Cursed Earth], Psychic Wave will deal Earth Element damage and it will cost 1.5 times more SP to cast.

Keep in mind that these pet changes are for level 2 summon passive modes. Level 1 and 3 passive modes remain the same.




Warlock Balance Changes

White Imprison

Changed from being dispelled upon being hit by Ghost-Property magic spells to Ghost-Property attacks.

Recognized Spell

SP Cost changed to 80 + Skill Level x 20.
Skill re-use delay changed.
Skill duration changed to (30 + Skill Level x 30) seconds.
Since both the duration and re-use delay were increased, Players are still forced to put 3 or 4 skill points in order to reduce the Buff "downtime" to a feasible level.

Comet

SP Cost changed to 400 + Skill Level x 80.
Fixed Cast time reduced.
Skill re-use delay reduced.
Global Skill Delay reduced.
If another Warlock party member is in 7x7 range of the caster, Comet will deal maximum damage to all targets affected.
Although the SP cost increased significantly, the Skill re-use delay, Global Skill delay as well as Fixed Cast time reduced. The added perk of dealing maximum damage to all targets around other Warlock party members is a plus.

Chain Lightning

Damage formula changed.
1000% * Base Level/100 at Level 5.

Earth Strain

Skill range changed from 3 to 6 cells.

Summon Fire/Water/Lightning/Stone Ball

Skill duration increased.

Reading Spellbook

Fixed cast time reduced.
Variable cast time reduced.
Skill re-use delay removed.




Guillotine Cross Balance Changes

Dark Illusion

Cast range changed to 4 + Skill level. Can now be used in War of Emperium.
According to kRO Guillotine Cross players, the skill is quite buggy. If Cross Impact auto-cast procs through Dark Illusion, you will not be teleported next to the target.

Counter Slasher

Damage formula changed.
Tests were done with offhand weapon, therefore the mainhand damage may be different.
Each point in strength increases the damage by approximately 17 ~ 20.
Each point in agility increases the damage by 3 ~ 4.
Each point in dexterity increases the damage by 80.
Skill damage increased by a factor of Base Level/100.

Hallucination Walk

Skill Upkeep HP cost increased.

Rolling Cutter

Damage formula changed.
When using level 5 Rolling cutter, Area of Effect is increased to 5x5.
Skill damage is increased by a factor of Base Level/100.

Cross Ripper Slasher

Skill cast range changed to 8 + Skill Level.
Skill damage is increased by a factor of Base Level/100.
Agility increases the skill damage.
Cross Ripper Slasher now deals 5000% ~ 6000% at 10 rolling cutter charges.

Invisibility

Skill upkeep SP Cost increased from 5%/4%/3%/2%/1% to 10%/8%/6%/4%/2%.
Detecting Skills (Sight, Ruwach, Infrared Scan etc.) no longer brings the Shadow Chaser out of Invisibility.

All Masquerade Skills

Can no longer be used on Boss-Type monsters.

Manhole

May now only be used in War of Emperium and PvP maps.
May not be used in non-PvP maps.

Dimensional Door

Skill now only affects Party members and Self.

Bloody Lust

Skill effect changed from inflicting Provoke Level 10 to Berserk. Highly likely that the Berserk effect is identical to Swordman Job skill Berserk.
May only be used in PvP and War of Emperium Maps.

Feint Bomb

Skill effect changed from backsliding 3/6/9 cells to Hiding the caster and simultaneously backsliding 3/6/9 cells.




Mechanic Balance Changes

FAW: Silver Sniper, FAW: Magic Decoy

Duration Changed

When both mechanic and FAW are on-screen, monsters aggro on the mechanic.
Party Members can attack the Silver Sniper. Maximum HP of FAWs are extremely low enough to be destroyed by an Arch Bishop with a stick.

Boost Knuckle

Variable Cast time changed. With 100 dex, the cast time is similar to mage's skill: Napalm Beat.
Damage Formula changed.
Level1: 300%
Level2: 400%
Level3: 500%
Level4: 600%
Level5: 700%
All skill levels have 11 cell range.
Caster's Base level increases the skill damage by a factor of Base level/100.
Caster's Dex increases the skill damage by approximately 1% per point.

Pile Bunker

Skill range changed from 3 cell to 3/4/5.
Buff removal chance changed.
Level1: 40%
Level2: 55%
Level3: 70%
Now removes more player buffs: Gentle Touch: Change, Gentle Touch: Revitalize, Shield Reflect, Defending Aura, Reflect Damage, Prestige and Banding.
3 Second skill re-use delay.
Damage is increased by the Caster's Base level by a factor of Base Level/100.
Caster's strength increases the skill damage by 1% per point.

Vulcan Arm

Global Skill delay changed.
Damage formula changed.
Caster's Base Level increases the damage by a factor of Base Level/100.
Caster's Dex increases the damage by 1% per point.

Flame Launcher

Variable Cast time changed.
Fixed Cast time changed.
Variable and Fixed Cast time reduced by half. (Approximate)
With 102 dex, the cast time on flame launcher is comparable to warlock's skill: Soul Expansion. (In other words it's fast)
With secrament, the cast time is on par with mage skill: Napalm Beat (Extremely fast).

Arm Cannon

SP Cost changed to 40/45/50.
Variable Cast time is decreased significantly.
Skill range changed to 9/11/13 cells.
Damage formula changed.
Small Med Large
Level 1: 700%/650%/600%
Level 2: 1100%/1000%/900%
Level 3: 1500%/1350%/1200%
Caster's Base level increases the damage by a factor of Base level/100.

Acceleration

Duration increased.
Level 1: 60 seconds
Level 2: 90 seconds
Level 3: 120 seconds

Hovering

Skill duration changed from 30 seconds to 90 seconds.
While hovering, the mechanic is not affected by Fire Walk, Lightning Walk, Vacuum Extreme.

Remodel Mainframe

Def increase changed from 4/7/11/15 to 40/60/80/100.
Overheat limit changed from 10/18/36/54 to 200/280/360/450.

Suicidal Destruction

Variable cast decreased significantly.
Fixed cast time decreased significantly.
Cast time was significantly reduced. With ~100 base dex with stat food + secrament, the cast time is estimated to be 1 ~ 1.5second.
Skill re-use delay changed to 3 minutes (approximate).
Caster's Base level increases the damage done.
Damage formula changed.
Caster's weapon does not affect the skill damage.
Suicidal destruction was significantly buffed. A level 147 mechanic with 100+7 vit, 40+5 int with no equipments dealt 100,000 damage to a level 150 sura with Gentle Touch: Revitalize and no equipments. Prior to the balance changes, with same set-up, Suicidal Destruction dealt 60,000 damage.
Note that suicidal destruction benefits heavily from caster's Maximum SP, therefore SP increasing equipment will greatly increase the damage done.



Cool (Emergency Cool)

Fuel cost changed from 2 to 1.
The amount of heat removed by the skill is changed. Changed from average of 12 heat reduction to 54 heat reduction per skill use.
Costs 20 SP per cast.
5 Second Skill re-use delay.

Infrared Scan

Fixed cast time removed.
Success chance increased to 100%
All hostile targets within effective range have their flee reduced by 30% for 5 seconds.

Magnetic Field

Fuel cost reduced from 3 to 2.
Skill range changed from 3x3/5x5/7x7 to 5x5 for all levels.
Skill duration changed to 4/6/8 seconds.
Upkeep Cost changed to 50 SP / 1 second.
Magnetic Field will now remove quagmire and other movement slowing effects from all targets within effective range.

Neutral Barrier

Variable Cast time removed.
Skill re-use delay changed to 90 seconds.
Skill effective range changed from 3x3 to 5x5.

Stealth Field

SP Cost changed to 80/100/120.
Variable cast time removed.
Skill re-use delay changed.
Skill effective range changed from 3x3 to 5x5.
SP Upkeep cost changed to 1%/3sec, 1%/4sec, 1%/5 sec.
Caster's movement speed reduction changed from 30% to 20%.
Skill re-use delay is long enough to ensure that the skill cannot be cast again right after the duration.

Repair

Variable cast time changed.
Skill range changed to 4 + Skill level.
Skill Catalyst changed from 1 Fuel to Repair A for level 1 and 2, Repair B for level 3 and 4, and Repair C for level 5.
HP Recovery rate changed from 6%/9%/12%/15%/18% to 4%/7%/13%/17%/23%.
The usefulness of the skill is somewhat diminished due to the introduction of new repair catalyst items.
Repair A costs 209 zeny (Discount 10) and weighs 10.
Repair B costs 475 zeny (Discount 10) and weighs 14.
Repair C costs 1045 zeny (Discount 10) and weighs 18





Genetic Balance Changes

Effective skill range changed to:

Success Formula changed.
Level 150 Sorcerer with 41 Luk and 110 Vit, 11 out of 15 Mandragora Howls were resisted.
Level 130 Arch Bishop with 1 Luk and 108 Vit resisted 5 out of 10 Mandragora Howls.
Level 150 Royal Guard with 55 Luk and 110 Vit resisted 6 out of 10 Mandragora Howls.
Test was conducted by a kRO player using 15 mandragora pots. Therefore treat the test result as a rough estimate.


Thorn Trap

Increased the number of traps that can be laid.
Can no longer place the trap directly under a player or monster.
Can no longer overlap over other thorn traps.

Mixed Cooking, Bomb Creation

Success formula changed.
Changed the number of created food/bombs on a successful attempt.

Special Pharmacy

Success rate changed.

Homunculus S: Eira

Silent Breeze duration changed.
Now causes the target to be silenced(mute) at 100% chance(originally 50%) and removes all other status ailments.

Rhydo Rune (Crush Strike)

May still be used under the effect that prohibits the caster from using skills. i.e Stasis, Mute, Oblivion Curse etc.
No Variable Cast time.
2 second Fixed Cast time.
Changed to a self-buff. Works like exceed break. Rhydo rune effect persists until 30 seconds or first melee attack, whichever happens first. Rhydo rune effect will cause your next melee attack to always be a critical hit.
Switching weapons after initially using Rhydo rune will cause the buff to dissipate.

30 second Buff Duration.
30 second Rhydo Rune re-use delay.
Approximately 50% chance to cause the caster's weapon to break upon landing a melee hit. Out of 20 Crush Strikes, 8 caused the weapon to be damaged.
Enchant blade increases Crush Strike damage.
Turisus Rune (Giant Cross)'s chance on hit: 300% normal melee damage increase applies to Crush Strike.
Crush Strike is now considered as a normal melee attack. Bypasses War of Emperium 50% skill reduction

Verkana Rune (Millennium Shield)

Duration changed from 300 seconds to 180 seconds.

Nosiege Rune

Removes current negative status effects and renders the caster immune to status effects for 60 seconds.
Removes and make you immune to the following status effects: Stun, Mute, Curse, Petrification, Poison, Blind, Bleeding, Chaos, Freezing, Deep Sleep, Howling of Mandragora, Frozen, Crystallization.
Restores 25% maximum HP on use.

Turisus Rune (Giant Cross)

Duration time lowered to 180 seconds.

Hagalas Rune (Stone skin)

Reworked.
Now increases the caster's physical and magic defense, affected by caster's Job Level and Rune Mastery Level.
Duration time lowered to 180 seconds.

Isia Rune (Regeneration)

Lauda Agnus

Now removes additional status ailments: Burning, Freezing, Frozen.

Lauda Ramus

Now removes additional status ailments: Mandragora Howling, Deep Sleep.

Clearance

Now removes additional status ailments: Critical Wounds.

Expiatio

May now be used on other players. 25% defense bypass at Level 5.

Wanderer: Swing Dance

Attack Speed increase from the skill is changed from being affected by Caster's Job Level to Skill Level of Voice Lessons learned.
Regardless of the type of weapons used, Swing Dance Level 5 will increase the affected player's Attack Speed, up to 193 Max Attack Speed.

Wanderer: Moonlight Serenade

Magic Attack increase from the skill changed.

Maestro: Windmill Rush

Physical Attack increase formula changed.

Common: Reverberation

Removed skill limit that limits Maestro or Wanderer on the Maximum Number of active Reverberation.

Common: Severe Rainstorm

Changed skill re-use delay.

Common: Despair Song (Song of Despair)

Priest skill:[Status Recovery] and Sura Skill:[Gentle Touch:Cure] now removes the effect.
Can no longer be cast directly underneath a Monster or Player.

Common: Siren's Voice

Skill success rate changed.

Common: Deep Sleep Lullaby

Changed to affect targets within certain range of the Caster.
AoE Range changed to 11 x 11/13 x 13/15 x 15/17 x 17/19 x 19.

New Skill effect: When using skills enhanced by Gloomy Shyness, there's a small chance of removing the player's mount (Dragon, pecopeco, Griffin) and reduces movement speed in half.
Added Rune Knight Skill:[Hundred Spear] to the list of skills enhanced by Gloomy Shyness.
Damage increase formula changed.
kRO Sakray In-game Tooltip Description:
Level 1: Flee -25, Attack speed -20%

Chorus: Great Echo

Skill effect changed.

Increases the Caster and Party Member's attack speed and reduces Fixed Cast time of all skills. Furthermore, rangers in the party will have their ranged and warg-skill damage.

I want to reiterate that this is what happened in kRO, it is possible this is what may come to us when we get our skill balance patches. But it is not an assurance as we have not received the datas yet.

So look at this as "potential", and thank zr0rieu for taking the effort to try and be informative.

Lets follow kRO, then be like "it is what it is". Just like how we accept renewal with super OP Sura.
The only thing i missed on renewal is the sorc skill "Cloud Kill"

Are you fuuuuuuu kidding me?

Cloud Kill has high chance of inflicting poison status on targets. Therefore players may opt to use Poison Burst in War of Emperium for added damage.

Thats a job of a gX. Please let all the poison skill be with us. ONLY US assassin classes.

And what about monsters with poison attacks? Take them away too? Also, Rouge classes can use Envenom. :/

Killing Cloud has always been that way. And poison burst has always been that way as well.

At a bit of change on warlock skill castime reduced atleast the warlock class might become important. But its still very less compared to what other class having. As of now playing warlock is kinda useless at every aspect other then killing noob mobs of monster in a party that too if party dont have genetic or mechanic class

Does that mean Frosty Misty is spammable now?

Also why the hell do you want to decrease the aoe of an already sad skill comet. its radius should be decreased only if it has 0 second cool down.

Frosty misty has no GLOBAL after-cast delay, meaning you can quickly chain other skills after frosty misty. Frosty misty itself has 6 (or 8) second re-use delay.

took out warlock and mage class balance changes because they were "suggested changes" by a kRO player. The suggested balance change did not go through.
Sorcerer and Guillotine Cross class balance changes are official, tested by kRO players.

The diamond dust does not crystallize normal monsters right? Which is what makes it favorable than a normal storm gust to use as a spammable water property aoe.

But what does the reduced to 10% crystallization mean?

Added Mechanic Class Balance notes and test results (by kRO player).

I will check to see if there are any recent detailed class balance changes after I've translated 4/13 balance change update for other classes.

Diamond dust's crystallization icon is visible on monsters, however its effects do not work on monsters. The skill balance reduced the Crystallization chance from Diamond Dust skill from 20% to 10% per cast.

I could not find any detailed testing done for Cross Ripper slash, Counter Slash and Rolling Cutter skills. There are no changes made to the poisons on 4/13 balance patch.
