All I know is it will take about 200-350 reroll hammers to hit the stat you desire.

Hope that helps.

(I've never used one, but I plan on using over 1 thousand of them at the end of this month <_< )

I was afraid of that. :P
I thought that it would just upgrade an stat (like a 11 CON item would become 20 CON).

yea, when its already a stat like that, it will take less reroll hammers (about like 150-200 i guess)

when you're starting from scratch on an IM item though you're looking at more :P

I can't wait to use them though - worth every penny.

Each substat is allocated into a tier. If you use hammers on an item without any stats, it will start from the bottom tier and slowly work it's way up. Although recently the tiers seem to be wider than they were a few weeks ago.

ie what was tier A is now tier AB.

So if you want to get something in the top tier, you will go through close to 150 hammers before you reach it. And at 20 points each, well good luck.

Actually the reroll works like this; It gives you a slightly better stat than you had before.

Yes but, you still will usually have to shuffle through that tier until you get the stat you are aiming for. That is still looking at on average 3k points for one rerolled item. Granted if you start with something from a higher tier it will take less hammers.
