I have a friend who Downloaded a diff client I think thats what its called, he has this pRO, and he wants to play iRO, can he Download just the iRO patch if its possible??

No, there are tons of differences between the clients of different national ROs. They must download the iRO client (if the official download sucks, try the iW one - irowiki.org/Clients_and_Patches - try the official one first though, because it works okay for some people)
