Hi to all, I was just wondering if anyone can give me suggestions. I use to play iRO and stopped playing for 3 years now. Since there's a free server out now, I'm thinking of coming back to play again. But..,

- is it too late for me to start a new character and play the game?
- is the dynamic of the game completely diffrent?
- is there still a lot of grinding?
- bots, are those still a huge problem?
- which server showld i play in?

if there are any suggestion I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

1st.Not really its easier to start fresh now.
2nd.I say it is different then before.
3rd.There is grinding but TI have made it easier.
4th.Not in Ymir.
5th.If you want bot free try Ymir, want easier items to obtain go to Valk or if you want a more "Fresh start" go to Ygg.

It's never too late to enjoy a game
- is the dynamic of the game completely diffrent?
You have to compete with bots more than ever when hunting, but there's still enough monsters to go around
- is there still a lot of grinding?
Yes, but using the new skills when you get to third class could be fun for you
- bots, are those still a huge problem?
yes they are still everywhere

a few more questions..

- Since I'm starting fresh, should I start out with a merchant?? (of course I have zero zeny)
- Is Valk too high level server to start there? I mean will I have a hard time catching up in Valk?
- Which server do I have a better chance of joining a guild?

Thanks! Cheers!

There are nearly no bots on Ymir. Don't forget that :blaugh:
Valk and Ygg may be overcrouded, but Ymir is completly fine!

1: The merchant class can be a touch Zeny Intensive, but there are some good easy ways to get on your feet again. You'll be good for a while due to all the Novice potions you get when starting out, along with the ability to get more. They're good to use until around level 40, then you'll have to move on to stronger stuff.

2: Honestly I wouldn't worry about "Catching up" to anyone. Play it at your own pace.

3: That depends on what type of guild you want to join. MvPing Guild? A guild just to hang out in? WoE? There are plenty of each, only thing is if you want to get into a top tier WoE guild they usually have level requirements...all of them pretty high

I think it's a good time to join because they currently have the Novice to Hero event where all players below level 70 gets double exp. You can stack this up with many exp boost items in game.

the latest round of bugs makes me feel like this game isn't worth playing though. Position lag, npc disconnects, gravity errors. The only reason to play would be because you actually find it fun, otherwise the game is just a money drain if you want to win.

is it too late:
Never

still a lot of grinding:
You still have to work for your levels but the effort it takes is drastically reduced, and thats not inducing events.

bots, are those still a huge problem?
Can't speak of other servers, but it isn't a issue on Ymir

which server should I play in?
Ymir. Yes you need Vip to get started on Ymir, bit you do not have to maintain Vip
If VIP isn't an option then go Ygg server
