Edit:
I'm adding that stockpile seems to work best when you are farming mobs that are "green named".

Old forums still hold a wealth of information. It is really not hard to find, just minimal effort. I have explained it many times before but here we go again.

You have to fight monsters that are within one level of changing from green to blue in order to see the effect.
Fight monsters that are....
1) Green but within one level of turning blue
2) Blue but were green when you were one level lower than you are now.
If you follow these rules precisely you will see a lot of drops containing 6 or more items. Up to 10 sometimes.
On monsters your own level it really doesn't seem to make any difference at all if you have the stockpile skill.
When i first saw someone else post this information I thought it had to be another of those "urban myths" so i tested it for several hours and kept careful track of the drops both with a bourg with maxed out stockpile and an arti of the same level. When the results were graphed they showed no difference at all for killing monster with or without the skill. The only exceptions were the two conditions listed above.
At those conditions I saw a very sharp increase in the number of drops that my bourg received.

The question is not if it works in some funny way, but the question is if it works as intended. And when it only works for two specific monster level, then something is fishy!
Stockpile at max Lvl says: Item Drop Rate Increase 40. I cannot identify a restriction to green or blue monster.
I did some examination by myself: Out of 500 material picks I had 60% drops in two, 35 % drops in 3 and 5 % drops in 4. Zero % in drop 1 or 5-10.
For the examination, everything was taken, not a single drop was left out. Only the materials (no consumables, no gear, no weapon) was calculated. Two type of monster where hunted. Terrasaurus and Terrasaurus Predator. My character was at 211 when started, 212 when finished.
I would like to hear something from a developer. Is it intended to be like that or is something foul? And when it's not working as intended, please do something!!!

Sorry, but I can't see a confirmation here.
