Hello,

I currently have an Assassin Cross who will of course one day become a Guillotine Cross. I was looking at the new skills and I noticed the Guillotine Cross has an upgraded cloaking skill called Cloaking Exceed. However, most websites will not clarify a few questions I've had regarding it, only spitting back what's already in the game. So I'd like to ask some questions to you all:

1) Does your level of the Assassin's Cloaking Skill affect any aspect of Cloaking Exceed, such as cost to use or walking speed? My Assassin Build had me going up to Level 5 Cloaking, but if I'm going to be getting an upgraded Cloaking skill, I was just going to leave it at the bare minimum to gain access to the skill when I change (level 3). However, if it's affected by your Cloaking skill, then that wouldn't be a very good idea, would it?

2) How is the SP usage compared to standard Cloaking?

3) Is it a complete replacement, you think, or is there still a reason to use standard cloaking even after you get Exceed?

4) Also, one general question. My Assassin Build (non-X) had INT 1, and that worked fine for me because my experience with my Crit-Assassin didn't have me using a lot of SP at a time (unless I was using Steal a lot). However, Assassin Cross and Guillotine Cross both introduce a lot of Active Skills, and I'm wondering how my SP's going to work out with that. Based on your general experience, should I be upping my INT for an Assassin Cross? Should I be upping it further for Guillotine Cross?

Thanks for taking the time to answer in advance.

1 and 2. No. Cloaking exceed's movement speed boost is dependent on the skill alone. Cloaking level 3 is required however for Cloaking Exceed. Cloaking is just better for SP cost.

3. Cloaking Exceed is better to use than Cloaking overall. Once you get Cloaking Exceed 5, you'll probably never use Cloaking again.

4. Depends on your build. DD GX use Cross Impacts a lot for damage since their Cross Impact is 2x stronger than a Katar GX. Katar GX is mostly ctrl+clicking and buffing self with Poisons.

For PvM, if you have a +9 Rideword, Rolling Cutter will never drain your SP that badly.

With this, you only need 1 base INT.

Thanks a lot for the info.

Can anyone also tell me what's a good PvM Katar to work towards? I was looking at either a Slotted Infiltrator or a Krishna, but perhaps there's a better option out there. Slotting is going to be needed because I need a card or two to meet 100% crit on my build.

You can never go wrong with a Durga with a Mobster or The Paper Card. It's your best option in terms of raw attack power.

However, if you want to stay alive while EDP+Rolling Cutter training without burning a lot of healing items, a Quadruple Malicious Specialty Jur is your best bet.

Which is more effective for quick kills right after cloaking, crit + katar (ctrl click), dual-wielder + Cross Impact dance (is it still possible? Can it be spammed without dance?)

What about Cross Impact with katars, is it so bad compared to dual wielders?

Also: How's Soul Destroyer + EDP with Guillotine Crosses?

Good post and question by the OP. I've been thinking about the same question my self.

So basically just leave the regular Cloaking at lvl 3? SP issue is not a big deal for me even with 1 int since there are blue pots out there and or get that moonlight dagger that can restore 3sp/attack.

Cross Impact Double Daggers clearly tops Katar Cross Impact damage by almost double damage. It depends on what you're using. My friend tried using a Glorious Dagger and an Ice Pick and his Cross Impact does over 40k+ damage to biolab monsters.

Not sure, I am not a fan of Soul Destroyer. Although, they are more viable for double dagger/sword GX.

If you want yeah, you can. Level 10 Cloaking just let you cloak for a very long time. I left my GX cloaked for almost 3 hours and came back and she was still on cloaking mode.

Level 10 cloaking doesn't just let you cloak for a very long time but it also increases your movement speed while cloaking(faster when near walls). So a level 10 cloaked sin moves faster than a level 3 cloaked sin(especially near walls).

1. no they don't affect each other
2. cloaking exceed's sp cost is 45 but cloaking's sp cost is 15.
3. I'm still thinking about this but when I cloak(normal cloaking), the critical stat doubles and whenever I attack while cloaked(cloaking gets canceled of course) I always deal critical and my luck is still low(low level sin) also you can use hiding while cloaking(again, cloaking gets canceled) and use grimmtooth. I think it depends on you if you want to use the old cloaking or not.

I wouldn't say cloaking is useless just because you have cloaking exceed.
Yes CE lets you move faster, lets you take a few hits ans still stay hidden and hides you from insect and demon monsters too, cloak's big downfall, but it also costs a hell of a lot more sp than cloak.
In both initial casting and and upkeep.

In many situations cloak works just fine.

In my build I'm using cloak as the dump for the rest of my points as a sinx.
Its either that or a halfassed leveled soul destroyer.

If you wnt movement, there's a reason why Cloaking Exceed is there. 140% movement speed at level 5.
