It's just a gamble. If you don't like how it actually work then don't buy it. It's not a "scam", because there's no restriction saying you have to buy re-roll hammer or you will be ban or something. I got my star glass 25/50 in about 70-80 re-roll. If you got really unlucky then just stop and buy from someone else.

I think there is a point though where you should just be able to click from a list of stats, drag down and select what stat you want, maybe after say, 300 re-rolls?

--I believe in this topic, tier means a group of stats that are within a perceived "range" of desirability.

As such, the most wanted stats are top - tier (and is seen to be hard to get), while crappy stats.. are in the basement.

- but more so, I figured these stats where in groupings for the reroll hammers, there is a chance to stay in a certain group of stats, or move onto the next group of stats.

-I want to know what stat's are in witch groupings; if this is how the reroll hammers work.

The Re-Roll Hammer is working correctly, an item which has no stat or is in a lower stat tier will have a lower probability of reaching a higher tiered stat compared to an item which is already closer to the desired stat tier. This was designed intentionally to make us more money and prevent items with lesser stats from being easily and rapidly converted into much higher valued items for the purposes of selling and saturating the market because that wouldn't make us as much profit as we would like.

Is it true that once you hit 60/40 mspeed on an item, you will NEVER hit 20 int on that item?

the thing is, too

that, if ur getting an item with good stats like 30 ap (which cames from a box) and then u reroll it, u start from new


genesis said, that, if u have good stats alrdy, u dont need that much hammers to get other stats

but thats NOT right


u need always 100-150 hammers no matter at what stat u r starting

in my opinion, they implemented a field in the database that just count the hammers (thats an idea but dumb solution)

good stats do not count if u got them from a box, they only count if u rerolled them


Not really, When i buy a mask with 25/50 i only have to use 20 or so to hit 60/40. I say 20 but last time it took only 3.
Your unfortunate. And stop buying if its not working how u like it,.

Well, the chance is really small. I noticed on IM items it didnt seem to happen and on normal eq like legendary it did go back to con 20..

yeah they should at least make it maximum reroll hammer used to get max stat ..
so u cant get over 100/150 reroll hammer to get max stat.
if like my case right now, i feel scared to use more hammer to my item .
i might use 200 reroll hammer more and stil not get the substat i desire .

If you don't like losing when gambling...don't gamble. Even if the odds are in your favor (which they CLEARLY are not) you must always understand that there is a risk involved with a gamble and *your* choice to take that risk means you are responsible for the consequences, good or bad.

I agree with the people that reroll hammers are a gamble but I'm sure it's hard for people to resist since the devs pooped on the appraisal stat so you can't get anywhere near any max stat with appraisal and that you can't craft half the max stats... so you're stuck having to use rerolls if you want any other kind of stat. I'm still waiting for the add dura hammer.

Do you think they deliberately changed (lowered) the appraisal and the crafting stats to make re-roll hammers more appealing? Even I am not cynical enough to believe they would do that to us artisans.

Which method (see image) does the re-roll system use, Method 1 or 2 (or some other*)?

Rules
1. After a fixed number re-rolls on the same item the Tier level is increased by 1.
2. [Method 1] A stat exists strictly in one Tier and does not repeat in any other Tier.
3. [Method 2] A stat in Tier N can exist in Tier N+1 but not in Tier N+2, +3....

*Note, I suppose there could be a third method where any stat can exist in any Tier but that doesn't seem to be the case from experience.

I don't think you can say, be in Tier A, and go to Tier B, then go down to C again. More so if you reach tier A, it's possible to go to tier B but not lower.
