Well, that was fun, he even fixed my problem being stuck in a non-existant Niddhoggur instance.
Hurray for the GM.
Yeah Oda was on it faster than I could tell him

Nice. xD Your crew want to come help clean up Valk? ;D
Ralis and Oda were roaming around for a few hours kicking butt in the normal places today.

Was Ant Hell one of those places? I noticed over the past couple weeks that it's been pretty clean. 8D But despite clean-ups, just because Valk has been so heavily botted for... as long as I've been on it, at least, additional help is something I would definitely welcome~

mmm I know they were zapping spam bots in Pront and a few other field maps and in sphinx I think. If the person(s) they were banning had other linked accounts and they were on other maps its possible they might have been in ant hell and got the axe at the same time too.

So those bots will be permabanned and wiped out of everything they botted right? Because we reported several bots who got stucked trying to enter Clock Tower and they were restored 2 days later... >_>
Nope they aren't.
When they get banned for botting now, they can make an appeal and get a "second chance" where all items/zeny are whiped but the characters remain.
Also iRO doesn't IP ban.

Almost all of them are on fake IPs that show in DNS searches as coming from within the United States. In other words they just spoof IP so its a waste of time usually. I have asked that question and the response I got was more or less along the lines of, "we keep a log of the account names, but due to the botters changing IPs pretty often we rarely keep IPs unless they are ones that keep coming up." We being the GM in question, not the company itself. Every GM has their own method apparently which may not all be the same but close.

No, they don't. They may use zombies or open proxies but they do not "spoof IP."In other words they just spoof IP so its a waste of time usually.

I agree with those two points but thats just what I was told in addition to proxies...well really I assumed anonymity via proxies.
