Hello.

I'm trying to install the game on my Windows 7 computer. I have the UAC turned off, and even when I hit 'run' on the Security Warning window, nothing happens. My computer is in no way slow as it takes other games, like WoW, seconds to begin the install process. I'm not sure what the problem is. I've tried to follow this http://iro.ragnaroko...=install&mNum=0 but it did not help me at all. I've tried running as admin, but it doesn't work. I can't run the install in compat. mode either.

Any help?


Edit: I just got around compat. mode, so now I can run it as anything from 95 - Win Vista. It has the cursor like its loading the install, but its been some minutes now and still nothing.

Just leave it running. It takes a while. One person even turned off the monitor and ate dinner befor comming back not too long ago.

Just for reference, which compat. should I run it under?

Note: When I click it to install w/o any compat. mode on... it doesn't make a noise or anything like my computer usually does. No "thinking" sound.

I hear that as long as you run it as administration it works. Not sure about the sound either, but it might be loading.
EDIT: Just incase you were wondering, this is what I was refering too. Might be worth a quck read.

Well, there seems to be something wrong.

I opened up the Task Manager and went to the process tab. If the game was really going to take a while to install, the process for it would be in the window. Here is where it gets weird, so probably someone who knows more about this needs to come in:

Compat - What happens (all ran w/ and w/o admin on, all results were the same :/ )
Win95 - It begins to spawn infinite~ processes which lock up all the memory on my computer. It slows my computer down to lower than a snail. I need to "End Process Tree" in order to escape it.
Win98 - Same thing as Win95.
Win2000 - Process pops up and disappears. Never actually starts.
WinXP Service 2 - No process even pops up.
WinXP Service 3 - Same as Service 2.
WinVista - Nothing.
WinVista Service 1 - Pops up for a second and then disappears. Never actually starts.
WinVista Service 2 - Same as Service 1.

Run as Windows 7 w/o Admin - Nothing pops up at all.
Run as Windows 7 w/ Admin - Nothing pops up at all.

There is something wrong with either the client install or my computer... and my computer is as clean as a whistle.

edit:
I just tried to install on my WinXP computer and it showed the process for 5 minutes then disappeared and nothing happened. IDK what is going on. Maybe I somehow got a dud.

Yeah, i guess try re download the installer. Try the wiki download, it's generally way better

Sort of sucks that to play this game I need to download the client elsewhere. :S

I'm still having problems downloading this game from the wiki. I redownloaded the client from the main site and it still won't install even when I leave it on over night...

just download the 20 parts on main side

extract

and install (without admin or other compat. mode)

its just take ~1min that happen anythink


now i have just the damn preoblem that i cant join at server XD

I did the incremental DL as well, but the files were corrupted lol. IDK, I give up. I'll just gb2/wow/ now..
