I was trying to do the quest, but I realized that asks for Tough Scalelike Stem instead of pointed scale (as used to be pre-renewal). Is even possible to kill aprox 80 Stem Worm with a level 40 archer!? I think it makes more sense 41 pointed scale, in the context of the other quest items.

I would recommend you not to bother about the quest. When you transcend to high archer you will be given the skill for free. So just focus on leveling to 99 to transcend.

Just because you _can_ get it at 40 doesn't mean that it's supposed to be easy to get at 40. Interestingly enough, some RO's have changed the requirement to pointed scale, but on iRO it's always been the tough scale-like stem, and it's always been really hard to get at the level that the quest first becomes available.
