sent in a ticket with a tracert to iro.ragnarokonline.com and www.playragnarok.com. I have a 10 Mbps Line and only RO lagged. I sent a tracert and they fixed it a few days later. Now it doesn't lag that much.

id advice you against lower ping. if you can get it fixed by sending in a ticket try that first. in command prompt i.e ms dos window from run->cmd
type in tracert and the address. its similar to ping but it gives you the detailed description of the entire route the data packet is traveling.

1. Close all programs (very important for the accuracy of your results)
2. Open up a command prompt window (start/programs/accessories/command prompt)
3. Type: "tracert iro.ragnarokonline.com" (without the quotes)
4. Hit the enter key and let the trace run until it displays triple * symbols multiple times in a row. Then, press control-C.
5. Right-click in the window, and choose "Mark". Then, highlight the entire window contents with the mouse. Copy the entry (Press Ctrl+C), open an instance of notepad, and paste (Press Ctrl+V) it there. At the top of this file, please write the current date and time, including the time zone in which you reside.

nothing wrong with lowerping. a lot of people uses it more than you think and it makes unplayable game, playable

afaik they don't use common ip addresses anymore. but might as well say if you can't play the game without it, how much do you really lose getting banned playing with it? nothing pretty much

Most of the time it has to deal with the ISP on your end. Lowerping solves a lot of these problems. For me though, I use ancient Dial-up connection and I don't lag at all. Ever. Unless it really is the server-end's fault. Sometimes it's your computer, where restarting fixes a temporary lag that doesn't happen all the time. It's normally the first being that it's a problem with your ISP going through different routers.

I use lowerping. You get 30min to test it out, before it disconnects you (trial version) however, i tried it out and in the first 10min i already decided that i bought it and never regret it.

It does not only help you with Ragnarok, but also with other Games as well.
I live in Europe, so i know what i am talking about when it comes to latency lol

LowerPing can be free as long as you reconnect it every 30 minutes (Simple as clicking a button), but I use the paid version for convenience.

You have to choose a server that gives a good ping. I'd recommend one that's 180 or lower.

As per my case of constant lag, I'm getting a multi-core CPU. Single core is made of grade A vintage failure. Can't multi-task for feces.

180 is the lowest I can get, and it's still smoothly ^^

You have to choose a Server from the West Coast, where the servers are located, not a Server in your near <_<

So, I write in my User/Pass. I click on a server and then click on "Games 1" and select Ragnarok. A pop-up opens and it verifies my User/Pass and then I leave it open after it says I am current connected. I check the Ping, but it's still 0, and nothing seems to have changed. Is this the right process of using Lowerping? And do you start RO before or after you turn on Lowerping?

Thanks in advance!

My campus internet is terribly slow.

After, you know it's connecting through LowerPing if when you close plink.exe you get disconnected from Ragnarok Online.

Again, choose a server of the west coast section <_<
Also you start Ragnarok after Lowerping. If you get disconnected, though, you can reconnect with RO still running. Ro won't connect though, as long as you haven't choosed a server from Lowerping in this case.
