From the moment the weekly maintance ended I jumped back online to start on Gramp's quest. After I warped to Rachel to start on the kill quest I slowly became bored of the grind and headed back to the gate. I wanted to sit outside the gate and hang with anyone around instead of the mob of AFK players sitting inside. Deciding to create a party named the "Rachel Gate Guard" would change the rest of my week.

With Jack Frost Freezing everyting on screen it was easy for me to keep the warp in and out of town clear enough. I wanted no mobs to be able to gather there so players could leave town, or run back to town if in danger of a large mob so I could be there to make sure they would be safe. I almost immediately found othere players to join me in the Guard. We all just wanted to sit around and be lazy and chat, telling stories around the gate. This brought me back to when hanging outside Louyang was popular and I was happy. But soon others saw us and we grew.

What few hours I had of hanging out soon turned into an endless grind and unforgiving players. My party grew to full and instead of hanging outside people started pulling mobs to me~ I had to defend the Gate! For hours on hours, quest or not, I stood outside Rachel's Gates with my Guard helping people lvl, complete quest and just having fun. I helped over a dozen players Trans, and around 6 players go 3rd Job. Over the entire time I spend around 5 days of in-game playing, with my longest shift being 25 hours straight. But out of all that the greatest reward was all the people I got to meet.

My friend's list doubled the first night I played and filled in the following week. The community started to pick up on my party and responded to it well. Players looking for parties would now come outside the Gate and hang outside around my party for saftey. Many asked to join my party while many others formed their own. The Gate became more and more active. My Guard was Bloody Branched our fair share as well. Several our party was able to eventually defeat, one a GM had to come help with. Haters or not, it i was alot of fun seeing the community activly joining in the fun.

Now mind you I was asked and told several several times that the party would be better if we moved, but I refused. We are the Gate Guard~! Though many disagreed with me I was happy to see after I would go to bed and wake back up, another party would be in my palce. For the most party the other party would actually give me my spot back happily. <3. Even more I saw other parties called Rachel Gate Guard 2, and on one occasion there was a short period of a Airship Guard. Everyone helped so much and I am for one extremely greatful. People were extremely kind and caring. They would even pull for our party to help lvl others while they would wait to get into the party.

Now out of all the things my party did and stood for I hoped for things to happen in the community. Many of them did. The Community hung outside the gate, I had people Recruiting for Guilds out there, and on two occasions I had someone Vending out there. All my hopes came true.

I want to thank the community and all those who joined in my party and helped. I'm sad to say that due to Gramp's quests changing that the Guard can no longer be around, but it was an honor serving with you all.

ya that was fun...i saw what u did and it was quite nice of you making a party there for the the "unfortunate" and some of you party member though i was really afk leveling with the Ifrit Hat. They decided Bowling bash my mob to stole them...which was quite funy...
