I get what you mean ive just run into alot of new players not knowing where to go where to level and the map function really isn't that helpful for them seeing as that it only states on monster that is on the map and a level that you should be to level there. When really if your going by the best exp get available 15 levels above your current is the best exp you can get. say for instance your leveling pecos to do the eden quest when you think hmm i should go one more map south to get muka also. but you enter the map and oops now your in the rift area and get killed by a incantation of morroc. i do like that idea of the map on site that seems like a better alternative then what i was thinking. it just seems youll have a bunch of players alt tabbing while playing. im thinking more along the lines of being a 1st time rag player then a veteran.Shura, I think you post would of fit a bit better in Xellies' thread but I'll bite.
While I don't think a Sign on every map is really a bad idea, I just find it hard to see how useful it would be to merit that many NPCs on every map. I assume you would need one for every portal between every map. Seems more work than it would be worth to be perfectly honest. The map function, while not perfect, does give some idea where about you can go. I think a interactive map on the site listing monsters/levels and such would be much easier to manage. Not everyone knows about the wiki after all.

Here is something i think you guys would enjoy reading (the ones interested in quests):

That was a fun read. I definitely came to similar conclusions, though not in that much detail. I've always thought the Homunculus quest was tied into a lot of that research, too.

I think something is in the process (idea phase at least) so that there might be something in the training grounds to help new players out.

I figured some of you would enjoy that. It brings to light some not as well known things about RO. It was one of the more interesting things ive read in a while.

Point 1: indifferent about, I still would stay focused only on early to mid game play cycles.
Point 2: Needs a push from the community first to be party oriented, but sounds good to me.
Point 3: YES THAT WOULD BE PERFECT, but possibly figure out a way to add in the monsters ability to cast Coma if they're hit with reflect damage /GG
Point 4: More loading screens would mean more submission. So if possible the GM's should offer the players the means to get free game time or items for their illustration submissions.
Point 5: Kinda hard to do, when we think about it more. In no time at most players would have completed the quests and start waiting around for pt 2. What could be done is the release of 2 parts per week, or the notion of the GM's turning on portions (specifically one NPC) once a quota has been reached to allow the 2nd part to start.
Point 6: We all love old head gear, how ever... no one uses it because it's Kawii. "if it dont increase our DPS we dont care" In all we just need more color selections old older head gear and require it to be a quest requirement to get more players to get them.
Edit: I know this sounds off beat, but can we the tools to edit the color pallets of sprites? It should make it easier for the changes to get implemented.
No need to hate on reflectors. They're built that way for cases such as this /no1
Planning ahead!!!
But really, there are a lot of characters with high orc on a shield other than RG's.
Being able to reflect kill a million porings would be very fun to see but not a worldwide achievement in the end.

Minigames - I didn't mention them in here, since I don't consider them quests/events, but yeah, I've always said that RO can use some good minigames. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of what's been implemented in the past was mostly ignored, especially when the rewards became... not overpowered or incredibly valuable. Even for people like me who actually wanted to do poring wars to collect the figures, getting an entire team together was hell. Not to mention the people complaining that it was boring 5 minutes in....... >_>;; Things like the diamond gambling proved themselves early on to be pretty much a waste of time and zeny. Bingo again requires a group of willing people to participate and is implemented awkwardly.
It would be nice to see the Comodo Casino finally put to use. It seems like kind of a tease to have a whole CASINO in the game and not be able to really gamble there. Maybe they could set it up with the taming system and we could hand in Poring Chips for prizes or something. I dunno.
The best minigames I've played over the years were addictive as hell, provided a change of pace from normal gameplay, and could more or less stand on their own as a game in themselves. Unfortunately, I think that what iRO can do in the way of minigames is kind of limited, so it'd probably require a lot of creativity to make things work... XD
People pay zeny to gamble for account bound items... sounds like a great zeny sink for me. I'm in on that idea.

But here's the catch, tl:dr is the common response to nearly all of iro's quests. There has to be a new way to interact with the quests, at lease have TTS for some of the longer quests. Even though it would look like a low budget anime, the use of the full screen pictures (like the one posted by TK) with voice actors would easily offer a new way to interact with players.
I think for most, this can give the game a better "anime style" feel not really found in other games. Possibly, they should try creating more still animation of the Kafra's for when you Save, Select Storage, ect.
The bolded text.
Fantastic idea. We have loads of players that would love to be voice actors.
