The problem is. Ghost physical element is a failure on Renewal, because like, 30~50% of your damage is forced neutral. >.<

Try it with Yellow Plasmas. Use any elemental, and then switch to Immaterial.

no wonder my damage is friggin poor. I should protest LOL.
I wish they would implement an Undead element type of arrow bcoz there hasn't any.

i haven't heard of any ghost bow which works to improve immaterial arrows or any ghost enchant /endow ( there is no mild wind endow hat for ghost).

Until that balance patch comes through I don't think anyone's going to be hurting anything with arrow storm. |:[Id like to be able to us Severe Rainstorm /Arrow Storm on Beelzebub ( with immaterial arrows) and actually hurt it.

they are trying to pin us down. i think the entire GMs society hates us Archer classes. the dev team should do something bout this - at least make elven bow +90% more damage w/ immaterial arrow. or implement an EDP type of consumable for archer classes and call it LSD like in the movies

Bow have low w.atk and cannot get any over upgrade bonus. Archers have no way of greatly increasing mastery or e.atk unlike the other offensive classes. We also have low skill mods and half of Ranger skills are Neutral while performers have super low % mods per hit or uses matk which bows suck at. Did you really expect us to be good at killing Ghost monsters?
RG's have masteries, Inspiration and Spell Shield. Plus all of their skills are between 1200% to 6000%
RK's have masteries, Aura Blade and Fighting Spirit. Plus All of their skills are between 1000% to 5000% not including DBreath which does 100% damage to Ghosts and CS which increases mastery atk trendously!
GX have masteries and EDP. They also have a 1400% atk skill that is spammable and Soul Destroyer which is great under strings.
Mech's have masteries and w.atk increasing skills. They also have ASPD spammable skills with mods between 1000%~1433.33%.
Genetic is the least reliable of the melee classes but they still have Crazy Weed deals 1500%~4500% (Forced Earth) with access to masteries.
All of these melee classes also have access to 190~350 atk weapons that have 1~3 slots and get Over Refine Bonus too!
Most of our damage comes from dex which is nerfed horribly in Renewal. That is why all the best bows have +50% Range damage. Currently our highest skill non forced neutral mod is 1600% from a snared Aimed Bolt on a Large monster which is no way as spammable as the melee classes' skills. Immaterial Arrow is the most useless Arrow in game, especially after the balance patch. Why? Because Camoflage gives MASTERY ATK which is unaffected by element and only increased by % Range damage like OAB+Steel Arrow.
For now just use Hunter traps. After they become totally useless with the balance change, switch to Elven bow n arrow with Camoflage and Converters, then you'd do semi ok damage (~2k damage) with DS. In all honesty if you were expecting a ghost killer choose a different class... Even a Shadow Chaser can kill ghost monsters much better than Archers.

Elven bow/arrow patch coming in a future episode, with the same effect as Orc Archer Bow (+50% dmg w/ corresponding arrow).
And as for EDP? Uhh... crit GX's RAPE people with that at close range. You usually combat this by either killing them first or running away. Put that on a ranged class, likely with wicked fast aspd plus an auto-attacking warg to hitlock people? That's even worse.
I think the incoming damage formula modifications should be enough. I know Rangers suck at the moment, but half of it is learning how to play effectively with what you've got. I've seen a few Rangers that know what they're doing in WoE.

Rangers and performers are disappearing from our servers because of this.
It's stupid how a lot of damage boosting equips don't help your damage.
Mech actually have a similar issue of their skills not considering equip attack.
