I've gotten nowhere with the ticket I submitted. I've also talked with several people about this, so let's hear everyone else's opinions. I was upgrading my hurricane fury from +6 to +7 (WITH safe to upgrade certificates) and it failed, the items dissappeared along with the weapon. I'm unsure as to why it dissappeared upon fail, but i have had several theories about it...let's hear yours.

"Mighty Hammer" in Eden Level 2, was where I was told to go and use this npc for safe upgrades. Are there really such a thing as safe upgrades? ;3

I don't know how much of this matters, but in my inventory I had 20 oridecon, 10 enriched oridecon, and 10 HD Oridecon.

Update: In response to my ticket:
Spoiler

If i wanted to pay people for their mistakes, i'd be working for microsoft. Why do I need to give my hard earned items just to replace something that should have never been lost? Your thoughts?

My thoughts is that you probably had enriched/HD metals instead of elunium, and that is what made your upgrade fail. I have used several upgrade certs without problem, and heard from people that if you use HD/enriched metals instead of elu as he requests, you might have your item broken, like with any normal upgrade. I don't see any regular elunium/ori, yet both HD/enriched ori, so I suspect this was the problem ^^;

Personally I would take the offer of having my item restored for like 50 cents...

That's most likely the case. Because MHammer requires the +7 cert AND a regular Oridecon/Elu.

I however had another problem with this guy while upgrading.

I had 4 armor certs and 4 Elunium.
I had a +4 Imperial Shield.

I upgraded 2 times and got +6 and was out of certs for some reason.

What I think happened is that it just used all I had and didn't let me know when failures happened. Has anyone else had this happen? Basically it using all the certs you have until it succeeds and not letting you know it failed until you run out?

The oridecon is in the top of my inventory, you cant see it in the screen but it is there. It used all the items and still took the weapon away. >_>

I'd take the offer of the placement of 6 HD ORI in your inventory to restore it to the +6 Refine Level and chalk it up as a loss. Take it as a lesson learned since eventhough you may of had the Reg ORI in your inventory you shouldn't of had the HD ORI in your inventory until you were out of certs.

If you are positive you have the Oridecon, my thought would be that the HD Ori takes a higher priority. Put it away and try again.

Asking you to give the ores in exchange for the returned weapon is a bit odd but it's in your best interest to do it, I think.

Since that NPC now offers so many different services it's no surprise it got confused.

They shouldnt penalize you for a programing error.

Thats like saying that you downloaded a iTunes song, and 3 others were deleted. So apple will reinstate the songs they accidentally deleted for 99 cents.

How is it your fault that the game was bugged!

The GM's should run some tests to see if this is possible, with having HD/enriched in their inventory. Having it first, last or middle (upgrade using cert with ori in the following orders, regular/enriched/HD, then enriched/regular/HD, then Enriched/HD/regular, ect ect). If they can recreate the problem. You can get your item and then they should update the in game cert to state, DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING BUT REGULAR ORI/ELU. Then it is no longer their problem.

As I see it, the reason they are doing this is cause there is no proof of you using a cert and its a big hassle I guess for them to log on and make a item for you. But they should try and rectify any bugs, rather than penalizing the player for a programming error. =/

Or he upgraded using the normal upgrader, went "oops !!" took a few steps then screenshotted.

GM's will give that response if its your own fault for breaking something using normal enchanting instead of cert/HD, if it were an actual problem with the certificates or HD they wouldnt stipulate something like that.

Its also worth noting the NPC *cant* get confused about what your upgrading. if the item is 1-3 it'll tell you to go away. If its 4-6 it'll use certs. If its 7-9 its HD. pretty simple.

If you did have hd or enriched ores on you while using the cert they would have precedence over the regular+cert. The pic you have shows that you have both in your inventory at the time. The dialogue box for certs are different from the regular upgrade text so it would pay to read what's being said instead of blindly clicking.

Now while I do believe that the order should be optimized so people can avoid mistakes of thier own neglect i would take up thier offer for 6 hds.

@Budd, Yeah I was reading very carefully what dialog to choose (Because my HF is my prized toy.) and yet it still went away, while it's true I had all of the items in my inventory it doesn't make sense that HD ori would take priority over regular ori when it's only +6. Then again this whole situation has taught me to only bring what is required, and FU@#*()@#* everything else. Paying 6 HD Oridecon to have them replace it is stupid, but lesson learned. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, nobody should have to suffer through this kind of retardedness, and yet i'm sure it happens almost on a daily basis. Welcome to life.

I was clearly using the "Mighty Hammer" npc which is stated to be used for safety certificates, unless i'm mistaken? & If it "can't" get confused about what to use, then why would there be a problem in the first place with having each kind in your inventory? From what i've heard from several people is that having multiple items in your inventory, eg: Oridecon, HD Oridecon, Enriched Oridecon, etc.. causes problems to begin with.

Anyway, i'm done ranting, lesson learned, moving on...still waiting for them to replace it though. Heh.

It sucks that your weapon broke and went poof, with the safe certificates.. but to be honest, Be glad that gm's are giving you the hurricane fury back.. all be it with an exchange for 6 HD ores. I dont know on what server you are but.. if you are on ymir..

Hurricane fury: 80-99m (prices of upgraded ones even more)
box of 10 HD ori: 5m

if on Valk:

Hurricane Fury:99+m
Box of 10HD ori: 9.5m

I would totally go and spend 5m/9.5m if i didnt have the HD ori's already..

It's a cheap deal, yes.
I don't understand that trade at all, though. He didn't use any HD Ori for upgrading his weapon, he used regular Ori and a few certificates. Why does he have to pay HD Ori now when he used something different? In their reply, they didn't even blame him for the loss of the weapon, so whose fault was it? Either his or the game's. They either have to ask for at least 6 Ori and 2 certificates or simply nothing if it's not his fault.

I guess he should be glad they offer help, but the way how they do it is quite confusing to me.
