HE gum timer is wrong?

Two days ago I killed a valk rangdris with 22 seconds left of gum and it only dropped a bloody edge, helm, and valk shoes. (that's no manteau, no armor, and no flower)
Yesterday I killed a gloom undernight with 6 seconds left of gum and it did not drop OCA.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced subpar drop results after killing an MVP when gum is about to run out, or I was just unlucky?

Most of the time it seems that the timer on client-side can be off when you have logged/relogged during the time.
The server-time is the one that is taken into consideration when the kill takes place, so if you're 6 seconds off on client side timer, I believe it's possible your HE Gum had ran out, but the client didn't show it as such yet.

I've heard of this before.

I believe this is what I was looking for, thanks.
Guess I have to use a new gum with <1 minute left.

Ten you have to delay your kill, the game made it such that in order to prevent accidentally double clicking you can't use 2 gums at once. So you will have to wait till the 1st runs outI believe this is what I was looking for, thanks.

Unless for gums is different, the delay isn't very long. For battle manual, the delay to prevent double clicking is only like one minute long, not the whole duration of the manual.
