Following the 2009 April Fool's event on iRO, a special Monster Card headgear was released, which added the chance for monsters killed by the wearer to drop Blank Cards. Blank Cards can be redeemed at the Kafra Headquarters for the following rewards:

Question is: Why is blank card so expensive, like 50k ish... What do people use with them?

They often buy in bulk and exchange for prize medals. Often those medals are used for EXP, but sometimes people will get weapons/armor with them.

A medal crafted from a rare and mysterious metal that can only be found in Hugel.
These metals cannot be traded or given to other players.
