[Knight debate]Sword Vs Mace Vs Xbow

Here's a debate that I sugest to Knight user.

So as every (using knight at least) know , knight can use Sword,Mace and Xbow all had their Era in which they were better.Even if everyone who will reply here know the Pro and the Con of every weapon Ill make a quick quick quick look up to them.

Sword are Faster but Weaker, they were mostly used before Evo.

Mace are not that Slower compare to sword but are Stronger , they are mostly use since Evo.

Xbow are = speed and stronger compare to Sword they have access to the best Stun in game and its a long ranged weapon (best in War), they are mostly use since the big update because before they werent even worth looking at.

So now youll need to know that Xbow take less than 300 Str to wield Sword take around 310 and Mace take 355 str.

Xbow could have a good cookie cut builds to obtain most of their point.

Sword are in the Okay zone cause its doesnt take a lot of point and you can still get the ap back (the one you lose against Mace) with the less STR requirement.

Mace take ton of Str to wield so youll be short with point.



I know by now that mostly everyone prefer Xbow cause they are more PVP oriented but here how you need to juge them:

*I heard that theres also a way to be hybrid knight but ya that just me.(Switching Cbow to Mace/Sword sound slow and youll lose your buff but you get the access one more stun)

You can honestly use the same stats for all 3 weapons. Str provides the most AP for all 3, so it isn't like getting 355 str is a big setback. It is a good place to cap at since points only get very inefficient after that. Also I don't see a big difference between sword and mace anymore. In the current system the difference in attack speed and AP between the two isn't big enough to fret over.

Better at solo PvM: mace or sword. Reason: aoes.

Better at group PvM (parties): crossbow. Reason: easy to lure with.

Better at solo PvP (1on1 duels): crossbow. Reason: range + high HP and defense is a glorious thing.

Better at group PvP (war): crossbow. Reason: range, easier access to get passives to increase movement speed for kiting.

Lol @ hybrid knights. Sounds so unnecessary.

Mace/Sword Knights are kind of limited compared to crossbows now. I've been wanting to play my knight which is currently crossbow and I am looking at trying to find a good build to switch back to mace but it is really inferior because of how many more skill points they need compared to crossbow.


Both have access to soul wreck, shield stun and triple slash.

Comparing the weapon specific skills (advantages are in blue):

Lightning Crasher vs. Heavy Bow Shot.

Mace knight also have access to Swords of Divinity but it does not offer anything besides aoe damage, the skill has a long cooldown and is also unreliable. Mace knights also have access to fatal thrust which they must invest 9 points into in the 1 handed tree; however this skill is just an inferior version of triple attack which both mace and crossbow knights already have.

Crossbow Knights have 3 weapon specific skills which do not need to be maxed to level 9 to obtain other skills; heavy bow shot also maxes at level 5. All mace knight attack skills are required to be maxed to obtain the next attack skill. For example I need to max Fatal Thrust level 9 to get lightning crasher, and I need level 1 lightning crasher to get level 1 sword force, level 2 for level 2 also. ALso Impact wave must be maxed to get swords of divinity level 1.



I think the biggest drawback for mace knights now is the amount of skillpoints the must invest in their skills compared to Crossbow knights. THey may have more skills overall, but quantity does not necessarily bea quality.

(Lightning crasher might last 3 seconds but the range, reliablility and power on heavy bow shot still beat it)

(Sword Force loses to slow shot in every way except the duration is slightly longer)

(Impact Wave is pretty useful however it still needs more points to max than taunt shot has less range and power as well.

Triple Attack? Its a raider skill no? Pretty sure my skill tree doesnt have something pass Double Attack!

After reading some of your point (both of you) ill be reseting my skill n Stats soon enough. :unsure:

Double attack is only double attack until level 8. At level 9 it becomes triple attack. The devs were sneaky with that one.
