Ok, so to start off i will be including what i personally favor in regards to gears and skills. This guide is to be used as such, A GUIDE, everybody has their own tastes and styles :mellow: so here goes....

***denote what i use/favor***
table of contents.
basic terms i use- QA+ quick attack, CAD= critical additional damage, AA= auto attack
Skills/DNA
weapons+chants
armor+ chants
jewels+chants
costumes+chants



This is the skill set I use on my assassin Espeon on lintra server. He is currently lvl 73

Rogue Skills:
1 Sword aura of darkness (filler)
1 raid (filler)
8-10 home thrust (LVL 10 for Espeon)
1 poison of malice (filler)
1 Poison Arrow ( helps b/c u can get 2 quick shots of an x-bow {AA shot and then poison shot})
10 Fortitude ( needed for crit rate)
1-5 joint strike (great for slowing ppl down)(LVL 1 for Espeon)
5-10 soccer kick (removes buffs that can prove to be annoying)(LVL 8 for Espeon)
1 shadow runner
10 stealth
6-8 quick attack (explained with armor and weapons)(LVL 6 for Espeon)
5 dash
5 retreat

Assassin Skills:
10 scud (main stun/skill used other than stealth)
10 dual weapon mastery (increases damage output..... no brainier)
1-5 Blinding attack (if u put 5 into this, don't need 5 into ankle strike)(LVL 1 for Espeon)
0-3 Stealing weapon ( this skill removes weapon and does 2 things, 1-cuts damage by half, 2- decreases healing of prots b/c they usually have a decent amount of MIND on their weapons)(LVL 3 for Espeon)
1 excessive bleeding (filler)
1-x infection (only put more if you plan to use this skill alot, has great DoT and at higher lvls it lasts for a decent amount of time)(LVL 1 for Espeon)
4 Spinning Edge (at lvl 4, the range is increased and hits a lot of people in a wide area)

DNA:
(this DNA set is debatable, but this is what works for me)

10 potens dash (5 sec dash.. helps with mobility and with escaping)
10 strengthen dual sword mastery (more dmg..once again a no brainier)
0-2 into extended Quick attack (put points if ur lazy like me and do not like recasting quick attack every 2 minutes)(LVL 2 for Espeon)
0-4 extended joint strike (20 seconds of slow total)(LVL 0 for Espeon)
X Range spinning edge (hit more ppl in a wider range :P)

Weapons:
Xbows--- personally since we are sins we use x-bow fairly little.. a +10 rare bow (RH S2 bow or S2 Biskra bow) does fairly well. Best nchats are the 25-25, 15-15, 3% xeons. use a Long range defense down debuff in this aswell. i recommend lvl 3+. Do not sweat it if you do not get a lvl 4 or 5 Long range debuff... ur a sin.. focus on ur melee weapons.

(claw vs duals sword)
many ppl seem to lean toward the dual swords because of pure damage, however claws can be nice if you have a low crit % rate and require a lower quick attack lvl but in the end when all is said and done.. the dual swords will out preform claws.

dual swords recommended:

Lvl 75 Dual swords of soul reposing
base stats
DMG- 398-547
Str 48
Con 48
HP 400
HP recovery 24
Critical additional damage 48
water/fire resistance-3.20%
8 enchanting slots available
Bonus:
for every +1 reinforcement you will receive
8-11 damage
6 str
6 con
48 life

***LVL 72 Duals of control***
base stats
DMG- 367-504
str-46
con-46
HP-360
Hp recovery-23
critical additional damage- 46
light/wind resistance- 3.20%
8 enchanting spots available
Bonus:
for every +1 reinforcement you will receive
8-10 dmg
6 str
44 life
6 critical additional damage

Lvl 75 vs LVL 72 duals:
when choosing ur sword of choice take these important factors into play
lvl 75 duals have more overall base dmg, but at lvl 10 reinforcement Duals of control will do 5 more dmg with a critical AA strike.
lvl 75 duals give more overall life and slightly more strength

so all in all

lvl 75 duals give more base dmg/life/str, duals of control has the higher dmg output once +10 with a critical hit.


Armor:

-S1 explosive enchanted with 3-3 SvS xeons, S1 con/hp jewels, or 10/10 defense xeons
-S1 dark blade set (only need 4 parts to complete set)enchanted with 3-3 SvS xeons, S1 con/hp jewels, or 10/10 defense xeons
-S2 darkblade/ Lvl 65 FoC armor is only good until u can get better armor,otherwise they blow donkey-_-
***S2 RH heinous set***
-lvl 72/75 robo/tyrant armor enchanted with 3-3 SvS xeons, S1 con/hp jewels, or 10/10 defense xeons


armor break down

lets face it people, S1 explosive is like trying to screw ur best friends hot mom.. damn near impossible to get, but once u get it...its epic. This set adds a crap load of short and long range defense (if complete set) also adds physical crit rate and adds lots of life and str/dex.

S1 dark blade set- Adds a lots of physical crit rate and with 4 sets, you get +250 long range defense (helps vs rangers/Srs) and -.01 attack speed which is nice)not too difficult to get and well worth it if u have it

S2 darkblade and lvl 65 FoC sets... fillers I.E. crap :glomp:

***S2 Rh Heinous set*= this armor is of special interest to me for the following, I use duals of control because of the CAD, RH set also adds CAD. with the Full S2 RH set + Duals of Control, you can easily obtain 500+ CAD (btw CAD is not effected by armor..if u normally crit XXX on a 2k def toon then u add XXX+ 500 CAD to that, same thing with the XXX crit dmg on a 2500 def toon then 500 CAD)***

LVL 72/75 armor adds great defense, life, str/ con, what more can i say? it will however be a bit harder to reinforce these because they are carus, and carus drops are low.

********Quick Attack explained******
in regards to armor and weapons, depeding on the gear you will be using will dictate the ambount of points you put into quick attack. With dual sword, thier base attack spped is 1.8 and therefore you would need 8 points into quick attacl. Claw haew a base attack speed of 1.6 and therefore you would only need 6 points into quick attack. Now depending if you went with duals or claws you r armor will also have an effect onthe amount fo points you need for your quck attack. With S1 darkbalde set, after you obtain 3 parts, you get a -0.1 attack speed. This means that if you used duals wrods with S1 DB armor, you would only need (1.8-0.1-X) 1.8 being the duals, -.1 being bonus from armor and the "X" being the amount of points into quick attack. With RH gloves you get -.2 attack sppped so then all u need is 6 points into quick atack to reach the breakpoints. and with tyrant gloves, you get even more attack speed.

for all armor it is recommended that you use these xeons
***10/10 defense xeons***
3-3 SvS xeons
S1 con/HP xeons
resistance xeons
Jewels:

use
reinforced lucky
***reinforced passion***/frantic jewelery.

thee are preferred because of the added dmg. each reinforced item has a x-x added damage and with +ing you can get even more.

the best xeons to enchat are 1 of 3

***ion mine physical crit 0.50%***
***Ion mine Critcal additional damage +5***
3-3 svs xeons adds dmg ---



I highly recommend you obtain 60% physical crit rate above all esle. Some of you may want to build a skill crit sin.. but the skills all miss fairly often except home thrust and scud.

use what ever costumes u like as most of them are situation dependent...

infinity attack- use when attacking
infinity resistance- use when being attacked by a caster
SvS costume- use when being attacked by melee

not bad, the gear bit showed me that using lvl 72 duals could be better than lvl 75 ones, altho if i had lvl 75 sin i would still choose soul reposing because it's hard to get carus items +10 or more

ty :P right now my phy attack power is around 1200, he still needs a lots of work, primairly on the jewl and armor department. He still needs 3 parts of the RH S2 heinous set, when i hit (assuming 0 defense) i do about 1350 per strike so i do about 2700 AA critical damage.

you will do way more crit aa with 1350 base, since you have probs like 500 cad or more, over 3k crits easy as i see it

congratz Espeon on that +10 duals^^ nice guide, and try to find some lvl 75 jews if u gonna make full CAD build, just Frantic neck and belt coz they give u double aditional then eximius ones.

atm i currently have uhh 360 CAD :glomp: but i still need 3 parts to the rh set. also in regarss to jewels :mellow: i use passion :P good middle ground as far as jewels go imo.

Passion doesn't make much sense imo. Harder to reinforce than eximius and doesn't give the doubled crit add dmg bonus. Might aswell go with frantic then.

Carus is pointless not because it's hard but the bonuses isn't worth the trouble as it only gives you an additional stat point per upgrade

Tyrant weapon has 39% for +10. The difference between both shouldn't be too high.
