Rose Online Patch Client --->Settings --->Audio ---> Enable sounds(uncheck) or set BGM to zeroWhen I play ROSE in windowed mode. I switch to the browser sometimes when I switch map screens, cause I have AHDD and it is hard for me to wait the 10 or so seconds it takes to switch to the next screen. Which I come back to ROSE the background music is playing again at FULL blast, even though I turned it off in the client when I started. I have to open options and move the sound bar up and down for it to be turned off again. I don't mind the normal sounds of the char, but want the background music disabled.

Yes, I do that and it still comes on FULL BLAST when switching scenes and it is not in the foreground.
Test it out. Turn off the music etc. Load the "Windowed" version. Switch maps. Example, Junon Map -> Anima Lake Map. Then bring up a browser or put the "windowed" version out of focus. Then come back after the map has loaded. Warning turn down your sound system.

I know just let it load and it will not do it, but I can't seem to wait for it to load. I get distracted and use the time to multi-task. looking at facebook, reading the forum, looking at email and stuff like that.

Currently the only option to avoid this happen is to not let your client lose focus while on the loading screen, but if you really have to make it happen you can always open the options window and disable BGM again.

When your ROSE client loses/doesn't have the focus for whatever reason while it is on the loading screen, the BGM will start playing on full volume even though when opening the options window it still display as it is disabled.Currently the only option to avoid this happen is to not let your client lose focus while on the loading screen, but if you really have to make it happen you can always open the options window and disable BGM again.
lol, this is basically what I already said.
Oh well, I'll live with it.

it's not a bug, you can just only hear the sound when you are on your client, not when your on other screens
Fail on understanding the problem. Thanks, but yes I knew that. That isn't the problem. I don't know why I am replying to your post. You did not read all the other posts obviously. if you did you understood only a potion of what I was talking about.
Rename the BGM folder into BGM_ Problem solved
Thank you. I will give this a try.
Update: Gave that a try and the folder is Read-Only. So I can't rename it, but I moved all the sounds to another folder and will have to do it each time a patch/update/defrag is done, but that does fix the problem. Thank you big for the suggestion. It would be cool to rename the bgm with other stuff. Theme ROSE. Lol.

I understand you are comfortable with this solution, but to change the folder to a different name, right click it, "Properties," and untick "Read Only."

You should be able to rename a folder even if it's read only
I suppose your client was still running and you can't rename the folder while the game is running because it's still using the folder, so you have to close the game and then you can rename the BGM folder
