MY COMMENTS

· Itâ??s fun solo leveling up my Crusader.

· Compared to my SVD Knight build, my Crusader build is much more fun to play and level up as solo.

· The SP pool is just right for using Bash and Holy Cross instead of physically attacking.

· I carry White Potions with me all the time.

· Before I completed the Swordsman Card Set, have been dependent on White Potions

· After completing the Swordsman card set, White Potions are only for instances where my Crusaders get mobbed.

MY QUESTIONS

· My Crusaderâ??s Holy Cross at times misses Alarms; is this normal or is Holy Cross dependent on DEX not only STR?

· Anyone knows how to go to Niffelheim? I tried the bungee jump but the bungee NPC does not let me use the bungee or rather I canâ??t seem to activate the bungee NPC in allowing my Crusader to use the bungee jump.

· What card do you suggest to compound with Glasses[1]?

1) if I am not wrong holy cross was never a 100% hit guarantee like cart revolution is. So if you don't got enough hits to hit your enemy, then you will miss like normal attacking.

2) there is of course the normal way. The entrance is from umbala top right warp into the ygg tree. Make your way though the tree and you shall arrive to niff 1 map.

3) hmmm.... not sure. I would keep it empty for now.

Drop Grand Cross altogether
VP will likely replace HC so you can get rid of that later if you wish.
Make room for Inspiration and its pre reqs.

Thanks for the info on Holy Cross and the entrance to Niffelheim. I will try to go to Niffelheim later on. I logged in earlier but it was laggy for me. Not sure if it was real lag or just my mouse is bad; difficulty in clicking in-game but outside the game it seems ok.

I am also thinking of keeping the Glasses[1] as it; not compounded with any cards. There is a dilema in me that if I put anything on that slotted middle headgear it would end up being crappy. The rarity of slotted middle headgears and some rare headgears puts me in a dilema whether to compound those with a card or not. Like I was walking around the market for a Rideword Hat; saw one but it was compounded with a card. So it was like a crap to me even if it is a Rideword Hat.

That's not true. A headgear with a card is not always crap, it serves specific purposes for certain classes. My RWH is with a Carat card and it is great for me since I need a lot of sp for Over Brand spamming. For the slotted headgear, I would suggest an Orc Hero card, or Pharaoh card, which is quite beneficial to a Royal Guard.

I don't know about the skill balance patch but I'm doing 5-6k attack with VP lv5. With a lv10 it would be much more, like 7-8k. Together with Over Brand, you can clear a wave of mobs easily.

That's not true. A headgear with a card is not always crap, it serves specific purposes for certain classes. My RWH is with a Carat card and it is great for me since I need a lot of sp for Over Brand spamming. Sorry I generalized my statement.

It was compounded with a card that was no use to me. I don't remember what card it was.

But I am still looking for a Rideword Hat though. Is Carat Card good for a Royal Guard or the Orc Hero Card/Pharaoh Card? My build is uses SP a lot because of very little AGI resulting in slow physical attacks.

If you are heading for Overbrand and VP build, high AGI is essential because the cast delay of VP is ASPD, so with high agi, plus spear quicken, you can use VP for really high DPS. Carat card is good for +9 headgear, while Pharaoh card is good for general, but it's a MVP card anyway :waddle: Orc hero card is for WOE I guess, but you can get 50% stun immunity with Val armor anyway, so I'm not sure about that card.

This might be off-topic but... do Royal Guards deals more damage using spear and shield combination or a two-handed spear?

I just noticed while looking at the skill tree of Royal Guards. There are 3 skill builds: the FS skill build, the hybrid/shield skill build, and the offensive/spear build.

For the offensive/spear skill build like the VP, as you said the direct concern for the stats is AGI as the first. Then what stat is the 2nd and 3rd most important? Do Royal Guards get the skills Vanguard Force, Burst Attack, Banding, Hesperus Lit, Trample, and Prestige?

I assume, since playing around with the skill simulator, that the hybrid/shield skill build does uses sword and shield combination. Right?

Two-handed spear does give you more ASPD with Spear quicken, compared to one-hand spear with a shield. However, if you have a over-upgraded Imperial Spear, it would be the best weapon for spamming VP and OB. I'm using a +7 and it is great. My RG is lv123 and have stats like this: str = vit =87, agi=dex=74 and 43 int. I would follow spear offensive build for solo leveling first (I could solo TI pretty well, except for the crappy-Rachel-TI-where-Seekers-dispel-and-burn-all-my-sp), then reset at max level for reflect and defensive build.

PVM wise VP for single targets and OB for mulitple targets, once you hit RG these skills will replace everything from swordy and paladin.

Do Royal Guards get the skills Vanguard Force, Burst Attack, Banding, Hesperus Lit, Trample, and Prestige?

On my support RG I have enough points to spend on Vanguard, nothing wrong with more HP.
Burst attack, weak damage considering it's catalyst and you'll grow to not have the muscle memory.
Anything Banding once again catalyst problems.
Trample only problem is not many use traps, other than that it's an easy skill to use.
Prestige has a weird thing where even if the cooldown has finished, you can recast it but nothing will happen yet cooldown starts over. Unpractical and not a very good skill anyway.

Does the thing that Royal Guards ride in place of Pecopeco has the same effect as riding a Pecopeco? I have read somewhere that the spear-type swordie class can only inflict 75% of the damage without riding the Pecopeco. A 100% damage is inflicted when riding a Pecopeco. Does it also rings true to Royal Guard?

Is there a way to improve the hits, instead of doing miss, of Holy Cross? Whenever I cast Holy Cross to those with high ASPD and high AGI, Holy Cross misses alot.

Anyone knows if the Peco/Gryphon ride increases the movement/walking speed of the character or remains the same even without the mounting/riding?

And... does the increased attack damage of spears from 75% to 100% for medium sized monsters only for melee/physical attacks or it includes MATK? I ask this because if my character is mainly using MATK, then sword or spear won't matter much, right?
