Any Elems still alive out there?

I was wondering if taking the dmg buffs is still worth it after the nerf or if taking both dots gives higher dps.

I'm still 47 so I'm not even officially an elem yet but I should get there tonight. I could use some advise before I reskill myself.

DoTs. Especially because they hit exceptionally hard on the first hit if crits.
The Buffs are useless imo, waste of points that can be better invested in making your instant casts hit harder.
