99/50 -> Start Third Job Change Quest -> Complete most of it -> Rebirth -> 99/70 -> Instant Third?

if it does block it. you could ask the gms for help.
but as per logical sequence if you have already started the third job quest, you should not be able to rebirth. we wont really know unless some one has tested it.

I don't see why you'd want to do that. wouldn't the third job change quests be easier to do as a 99/70 trans than as a 99/50 second anyway?

At worst the NPC remembers that you weren't trans when you started the quest and changes you to a non-trans 3rd. I don't think that happens though.

I remember doing the priest quest up to the last step, then starting and finishing the monk quest. The 3rd/trans quests are probably similar. It's extra work for them to check the status of other quests to enforce arbitrary eligibility requirements.

I see no reason you couldn't do this... but it's not like it's going to save you any time either in most cases.
